I’ve had this service at Northgate Anastasia two or three times, and Alderwood at least once prior so it seems to be a fairly easy to duplicate service.
I get an appointment to see Diane. No stencil? No marking of arch? Wow, I think — Diane must be a real pro at this. Yay. And, it’s «happy hour» so she removes some less-​than-​feminine dark hairs from my upper lip as well — for free. Oh, how I wish she had left that alone and spent more time on a good brow job.
On the way home, in better light, I see a large hank of eyebrow hair that has escaped removal. Playing phone tag with an admirably responsive Diane, I go back in and she graciously removes remaining hair. Still, no stencil, no arch measuring, nothing like previous visits to Anastasia counter.
Why am I such a wuss about demanding adequate service? Why don’t I call people on their shit?
Both the top and bottom line of my brows are uneven where they have not been before, which I have to attribute to the wax job I received.
If you’ve ever had a fine eyebrow wax done, you know it is very, very easy to fill in your brows and wind up with awesome eyebrows. I’ve had to work at it to figure out how to get my brows to look great, and that they look nice reflects much more on my experience and diligence than the wax job I got.
I would have had just as good service, if not better, at a little strip mall Asian nail and waxing shop, at less than half the price ($ 30) so it feels like I threw away money on this service.
Diane, you’re a personable gal but you really need to sharpen your skills. Or maybe you had a bad day. Whatever it was, I got a crappy brow wax and won’t be back to see you.

Just got my upper lip waxed a few hours ago. It’s situated in a quiet corner of the cosmetics department, so honestly it’s not that odd. Besides, they only offer facial waxing here, so you don’t get to see hairy legs or armpits anyways ;-). Service was quick and awesome, she even dabbed a little concealer on to cover the redness (with disposable cotton of course). The esthetician’s name is Deona Gomez, btw.

Bad idea :(my friend is thr best eyebrow girl at gene juarez at alderwood and i couldnt get in… Bad news bears … But I had to go to a holiday party that night and needed my eyebrows done… stat!!! So I have heard from my client that she (let’s leave her name as anonymous) said to wait 15 so I did some damage in make up btw the anastasia counter or waxing area is in the middle of the cosmetics floor… Odd place guys!!! Anyhow this is how it went
Eyebrow lady: hi sorry what can I do for you?
Me: can you just wax around my eyebrow I am growing them out …
Eyebrow lady: sure … Lay down… Close your eyes… Cleans area, applies wax,
–rippppppppp… Sweet mother it hurt… Ok breathe nina breathe
Eyebrow lady: are you ok? We are done want to see them?
Me: yes thanks… In my mind (holy shit did she lift my skin? Why are they so skinny? Fuck me now i look like a girl in a gang in east l.a. Greatttttttttttt i should have waited)
She asks if i like them? I just smile and pay with no complaint :(
One hour later as the redness calms down holy crap the snatch lifted my skin … I cry… Made my appointment with my girl marie and showed her… She laughed and fixed my gangter eyebrows :(never trust anyone with your eyebrows they can really make you or break you … In my personal experience I got broken :(
