i have been coming here for a few years, first need to clean this greasy spoon more often, steak burrito no taste cooks and sits on grill long time trying to keep up if busy resulting in dried beef, chicken burrito not much better the cook on grill going through motions he could care less, try getting some sauce good luck. so i would drive to sommervile at taco loco excelent food or annas cambridge, sommervile not as good as taco loco but better than lapita not happy here even with tacos choices limited was better years ago. skip this store. they seem more attentive to the client who speaks there native tounge not so much english speakers, just a observation

Solid 3 stars. Pros: good portion sizes, reasonable prices, quick service, yummy nachos. Cons: no heat so it was a little uncomfortable, and the carne asada was just blah; I couldve made it at home there wasn’t anything wildly great about it and the refried beans weren’t refried they were just smashed cooked beans. So was it bad food? No. Was it disappointing and kinda what you can do from home? Yeah. So if you don’t feel like cooking I guess its a good spot, but if you’re looking to eat something skillfully prepared then this place isn’t that.

Favorite Mexican place. Good for a quick lunch or dinner. Obsessed with the tortas and the papusas are great. Tried just about everything and no complaints. If you have a big appetite try the combination plate. Everything on the menu is big whether it’s a quesadilla or even a burrito. Taco salads are really good too. They make their own shells. If your downtown this is definitely a place to try. My favorite little Mexican spot by far.

I love Tacos Lupita — a staple lunch spot in Downtown Lynn. The no-frills taco shop atmosphere is great for a quick lunch. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly, and the range of seating accommodates groups of friends at tables or solo stools at the window counter to have an intimate moment between just you and your burrito. One of my favorite parts in the casualness of the the whole exchange — payment is not expected, usually, until you finish and leave, so you can order a little more, or grab a Mexican soda from the fridge any time. The telenovelas and soccer games on TV are some great entertainment while you wait, too! As for the food, I usually get either the Vegetarian Burrito, which is very tasty, although nothing special on the veggies within, or the pork and cheese pupusas, which come with generous side of tangy cabbage slaw and are arguably the best bang for your buck in the restaurant. A point of note is that Tacos Lupita makes all their own tortillas, and you can tell. They are fresh and flavorful, so make sure to try some tacos to get a taste! And don’t forget to order some of their house hot sauce with whatever you get(Salsa Rojo or Salsa Verde) — both are delicious, and meals usually come with one kind, but sometimes you probably need to try both — you can’t limit yourself with hot sauce!

My dad showed me this place and I love my dad and this place! I’m often in central sq Lynn and the neighborhood sometimes just smells like cilantro and roasted chicken and though it obviously isn’t just from this joint, I am always drawn here when I least expect it! I’ve eaten hundreds of tacos from this fine establishment and I’m ready for a hundred more. My dad lives around he corner, he’s and old timer. Love all around on all fronts!

We went for lunch and I had a steak burrito and my bf had three chorizo tacos and we shared chicken nachos. The food was delicious and hot, good service and clean environment. Decorated nicely with decorations from Mexico. Will return again for lunch.

Chips, salsa, and guac: thumbs up! Very fresh :) steak quesadilla was more like a burrito quesadilla, delish! Steak quesadillas were a hit, chicken tacos were a bit of a let down, but the steak tacos were very good! Chorizo nachos were a huuuge hit! We’ll definitely be coming back!

This place used to be good. The food quality have sunk, and the Grilled Steak Burrito I last had, tasted like it just came out the fridge. It tasted like someone placed an order ahead of time and forgot to pick it up so they were lucky enough to give it to me because I ordered it. Poor food quality, too salty, unsure of their meat because they leave it hanging outside and chop it up to cook. Flies, bugs, ants, etc. could all be crawling on it. But it’s clean, and the people are nice. So it’s an okay place. But there’s better.

Two and a half stars. Lots of seating, street parking in the area, clean bathroom, TV to catch some soccer, fair portions, good service, fresh limes, cheap eats. My main issue was that everything was greasier than typical: I don’t mind DIY salt on house tortilla chips, but I was consistently dabbing oil off the surface before dipping it in the light salsa verde. The al pastor was just okay: shaved meat grilled to have texture, rather than chunks.(DC natives will find TB to be far superior in flavor.) The chorizo taco was superior, as the spice and graininess of the pork was mellowed out by the tortilla. Mulita had a dense tortilla– also greasy from the crisping on the plancha– and while I appreciated the liberal amount of cheese, I was unimpressed by the quality of the coarsely diced lengua(DC natives will find better tongue at most taquerias; USC alumni will find this heavy and simplified in comparison to LT). I was too full after two tacos and a mulita to try their menudo or carne asada, but the thin horchata kept me from feeling like a food brick.

Tacos Lupita rules. It’s better than chipotle, boloco, annas, or whatever other place white people like to get burritos at. The price is right and food has lots of flavor. The pupusas are on point as well.

Food is great, extremely affordable and we’ll done. But for about a year now, the same girl that takes your order and brings your food is there. My god, this girl looks like she wants to shoot her self… I mean c’mon! What kind of service is this when she rings me up, is on her phone with her friend talking about«last night», just taps on the cash register screen to let me know how much it is and doesn’t say a word? I took a bunch of friends there to eat because I enjoy the food and I recommended the place, its also very close to the beach. Again food is great but the staff… The cashier in particular, the level of frustration was beyond words. I’m not expecting quality from the staff since this is a place where you go for the food and not the atmosphere, is it that hard to say«Hi» or «bye» or a «thank-you»? Horrendous costumer service. There’s better option s out there

Should’ve taken the advice here and got the carnitas burrito instead of the steak burrito

Being a vegetarian, I was a little hesitant on search for something to eat in the local restaurants in Lynn. The reviews for this place seemed good, so we decided to check it out. The only clear vegetarian option was a burrito, so I went with that. The food was prepared extremely fast, and in a decent portion. The hot sauces on the table were fabulous! It is a great place to grab an authentic meal with so many other Spanish restaurants in the area.

I absolutely love this place. Living here in Massachusetts and being from Arizona it is hard to find good Mexican food. I definitely found it! The chorizo burritos are so delicious and they have awesome pupusas as well. Great service and great food. Especially for what you are paying! Highly recommended.

Place is so good… when they decide to answer the phone. If they delivered I would order my steak burrito 5 nights a week. Theres one guy there that is so nice but other than that they’re pretty straight forward, not necessarily rude but. meh

Tacos Lupita is one of the best authentic mexican places! Their delicious food is definitely due to their tasty slow cooked meats and their super fresh ingredients. I am never disappointed when I go to this place! My one complaint is that it gets rather hot in there. Definitely more of a take out situation.

My 2 friends and I showed up for lunch yesterday a little after 12 and were seated right away. In contrast to some of the shops on the same street, the inside of the restaurant looks like-new and is well-maintained. If you order a soda, they will serve it to you in a can. I had the chicken tostadas, and they were fresh and delicious. My friends were happy with their choices too. Would return again :).

All the canvassers got a lobster roll lunch at the office and sadly the vegetarian went to forage her own food. Starving, I decided on Tacos Lupita after I saw that amazing veggie burrito photo. I got here and looked at my veggie options… which are limited. I decided against the pupusas since the place didn’t specialize in them… so I wasn’t sure. Got the veggie burrito. Was indeed fast and $ 5.35. I was a little unimpressed when I cut it open, but my first bite was actually pretty good. And you know what went through my mind? Wow, this tastes like the Taco Bell I remember from my childhood. And I mean that in the best way possible, which is to say I remember Taco Bell being rather creamy tasting, cheesy and mild, but well salted. I wasn’t too impressed with the salsa that came with the burrito, so I used the table hot sauces, which were kind of an alarmingly colored red and green(definitely red and food coloring in them — I read the label). I used the red habanero one, which gave my food the heat I needed. I also appreciated that this place uses legit flour tortillas — supple and thin, not that mission tortilla stuff. Griddled, it’s actually very very good. So why just 3 stars? Well, this doesn’t blow me away and I always get irked buying a veggie burrito that has… well LESS than the meat ones. Basically, I just got everything you got except the main event. Also, my burrito did not look like that crema sauced craziness pictured in one of the photos. So, yeah, solid food, but the vegetarian wouldn’t clamor to come back. Meat eaters may find this place amazing, but I wasn’t super impressed. Filled my belly and got me the calories to continue canvassing, but I would prob seek another option for lunch if I ever had to come back to Lynn. Which I hope I don’t.
