It was a good pie! Had the peas, carrots and stuffing one! Nice crust as well. Worth it! Make some mash potatoes on the side and put egg on the crust and you got a very good meal, wholesome!

Not impressed. Idk what all the rave reviews are for, because I honestly did not find my pie to be tasty at all. I cooked per instructions, even brushed it with the egg wash as directed. It was plain, had some nicely sized pieces of chicken and carrots, and a ton of peas. The crust was not flaky, and there was just an overall plain taste to my pie.(I HADTHECLASSIC). I didn’t try any of the sides, the medium pie was $ 15 and a large is $ 2. I would complain about the lack of parking(3 spots) but there’s no need, because they probably never have more than 1 person there anyways, if their lucky. I’ve never seen anyone there and I drive by every day

Two things about this place. I never know earn they are open and they have mysterious hours and you drive by you can never tell if they are in fact open. A couple times I would have stopped in for a pie and didn’t because they were either actually closed or looked it. The other thing is that I don’t think they are that great of a pie. Like another review, their buffalo chicken pie was not worth trying. Wish they were a little bit better and I would go there more often, that is if I could ever figure out when they are actually open.

After driving by multiple times I finally decided to give the pies a try. The pies do come uncooked and refrigerated. I went with the regular medium which cost $ 15. There were bigger ones as well as different varieties. The woman at the counter informed me that the pies were made fresh daily and usually sell out the same day. She also suggested I try the Thanksgiving one which is a best seller(maybe next visit!). The cooking instructions is a no brainier. Pop it in the oven for 35 – 45 mins at 375 and then presto. Once I took a bite I knew immediately I would finish my whole plate(it was about ¼ slice). The quality and taste was as if it was homemade. It was very fresh as she stated. Very big chunks of chicken and a great amount of peas and carrots. I only wish they would sell some already cooked pies. When you’re home from work and want a quick bite, it’s a damper.

Kens makes a great chicken pie! I like it much better then Harrows. They have a good deal. A large pie and two sides for $ 25. It was a ton of food! We got the classic chicken pie, the cranberry stuffing, and the red smashed potatoes. The three of us stuffed ourselves and barely finished half the food. Take out only!

Absolutely delicious… blows Harrows out of the water. Get the cornbread… so light and fluffy! They have great specials(large pie and two sides for $ 25, buy a pie get second half off). First time going there and the Peabody store seemed a little under stocked… there were not a lot of additional options like the meatloaf, dips they talk about on their website. Maybe the other stores have more choices but too far for me coming from South Shore. I will be back again but hopefully they will stock the Peabody store… it seemed a little picked over!

Love that everything is homeade with fresh ingredients. The thanksgiving pot pie is the best! Chicken soup is really good when you are sick. Most other places have processed crap and fillers. Happy to see that they don’t.

This was my first time trying Pot pies from kens. Driving by I always thought it was a fried chicken place. In fact I stopped here a few weeks ago on the way home from work looking to cure an itch for fried chicken… I was pleasantly surprised to find instead a wide variety of pot pies to choose from. They come uncooked and refrigerated. They also have sides and individual meals. I picked up the thanksgiving and also the Buffalo chicken pot pie. I cooked up the Thanksgiving pie that night. It had giant chunks of chicken, carrots, celery, onions and stuffing complimented by a nice slightly peppery gravy. I put the buffalo pot pie in the freezer. The crust(which most pies should be judged by) was pretty close to perfect. It was buttery and flakey. The package suggests giving the top a brushing of egg wash= delicious! I tried the Buffalo chicken pot pie today for lunch. Because it was frozen the cooking time was a little longer. The result was pretty damn tasty. The pie had chunks of breaded chicken breast, onions, melted blocks of real blue cheese and a nice not too hot tangy buffalo sauce. The crust was again buttery and flakey. It was a nice compliment to the heat and tartness of the fillings. A previous reviewer bitched about the«chicken nuggets» I don’t think anything besides the crust is going to come out crispy after simmering in a pie for an hour in the oven. Like I said the flavor profile Was spot on! If you like machine separated chicken chum and poly blended crust discs on your pie by all means go grab a Harrows or willow pot pie. However if you want to dig into something that tastes homemade than swing by this place and pick up a couple of pies. I will definitely be back again! P. s. They don’t sell fried chicken!

I’ve been getting pies from Ken’s for some time now, and they have always been great. I had an issue with an order last night, and I was impressed with the courteous and professional manner in which it was resolved. Great food, great staff, great customer service. I will continue to come in and spread the word about their delicious pies!

Just cooked up there buffalo chicken pot pie. Absolutely one of the worst things I have ever tasted. I think they used leftover chicken nuggets from the local elementary school. Stick with Harrows, can’t even compare the two

I’ve had a huge; «Word of Mouth», praise about the chicken pies. I had some initial qualms about the price, but… these pies are worth every penny and more. You need to cut off the crust and serve it first because there is so much stuff in the pie. Chicken chunks are 1 inch + in the pie. The very nice lady in the Lynn store said that a medium would serve 2 – 3 people. My girlfriend & I had more than enough… AND…It fed our mothers as well. $ 14⁄4. that’s $ 3.50 per person. Fresh everything in the pie. McDonalds can’t give you a high quality meal like this @ that price !

Went here today. Service was excellent and helpful. I got a medium chicken thanksgiving pie with vegetables, a container of scrumptious butternut squash and a small container of bean dip. Was very impressed with all items I purchased and for only $ 20.45. Will definitely go back for more. Giving thanks to Ken’s Kickin’ Chicken!

The day I read Ken’s Kickin Chicken opened in Lynn, I was thrilled. I almost danced in the streets. I tried looking for mysterious Ken in Salem but could never find them. The wait was so worth it. Ken’s Kickin Chicken, I know you’re a company, but would you marry me? I will shell your peas, cut and grate your carrots, pluck your chickens, stir your gravy and knead your dough for as long we both shall live. As long as you keep feeding me. All kidding aside, AWESOME pot pies. The Thanksgiving Pie —(don’t forget the cranberry sauce which appropriately comes from a can!) is to die for. Normally I neve eat the crust on a pot pie, but this was so flaky and light, it added to my stomach euphoria instead of detracting from it. The Meatloaf, while spicy, was awesome too! And I am a total and complete meatloaf snob and only tend to like my own modified version of my mom’s. Ken, you have taken second place in the meatloaf department, but come on, it’s my mom, man. Shepard pie was next on my list, as another favorite comfort food of mine. I was NOT disappointed. In fact, I am horrified to admit this little piggie ate ½ a medium pie on her own. I’d hang my head in dietary shame, but my belly was too happy to feel shame. I did miss seeing some peas in there, but that might be a me thing when I make my own. I’d rather Ken keep making them from now on though. I can add my own damned peas if’fin I want to. All in all, everything I’ve tried so far is aces. I will be working my way through the menu as winter approaches and we huddle inside craving comfort food. Welcome to Lynn! May you remain tucked at the corner of Maple Street and Chestnut Street for as long as I continue to need to eat. ;)

This is a new take out restaurant is located on the corner of Chestnut and Maple Street in a white building. I was driving by and thought I would give it a try. I have been buying Harrow’s Chicken Pot pies for 20+ years and have been unhappy with them for the last 3 – 4 years. Boy, I am glad I stopped by! My family thinks it was the best pot pie they had in years The crust was perfect, the gravy had a great flavor as well as chunks of chicken and veggies. I got the Classic Chicken Pot Pie but will be going back soon for the Thanksgiving Style Pot Pie. FYI, They freeze really well so don’t be afraid to stock up!
