I’ve been going to Christie’s for 8 – 10 years. This place is a hidden gem. I have never had a bad meal! I always order the haddock plate. Always comes with 2 huge pieces of haddock. Fries and onion rings Coleslaw and a bun. Very filling. I recommend you try this place before any other or even your regular spot. Family owned and operated and it’s always a pleasure. While the décor is dated it gives that special feel of «old times» Happy Days if you will. Sometime my mind wanders to think of people that hung there years ago. My kids love the burgers and we all love the shakes. Give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed and may become a regular ;)

Why is the parking lot always empty if it’s so good. … Fish had to be fresh and if not busy, how can it stay fresh??? I drive or walk by there several times… Don’t know how it stays in business

It’s OPEN. I live very close by. We have tried the burgers, hot dogs, fries, and seafood there and it’s all delicious. The prices are low too. Stop by

This place has good food, a vintage soda fountain, is beachfront, and has classic 50’s décor. Why don’t they have more customers? They also have lots of undeveloped land. Why? They could make a great business out of Christies.

I have not so much a review, but a question. If the food is as good as these reviews state, why is the restaurant completely empty all the time? I have passed by this restaurant at every hour of the day, during every season, probably thousands of times, and I have seen maybe two customers max at any given time. This despite a prime location across the street from the beach. Go figure.

I happened by Christie’s on the lynnway on my way to Nahant Beach. The place puts all their attention on the food which take-out works best. The décor hasn’t changed since the 70’s, they do have a dining room but I much rather getting it to go because of the lack of updates to thee looks. Do you want looks over taste when you are eating clams, fries, or fish sandwich? Well I got the fish haddock sandwich at 4.95 with side of fries large for 9.00. The sandwich had fresh haddock, batter was good on fish, soft roll and good homemade tartar sauce. I could have gotten the small fries for 2.15 since the large was well large. They do only accept cash but again, the focus on good food cooked to order. A longing standing eatery that still measures up.

OK… I cannot believe what I am reading… TORNDOWNINDECEMBER! I am going to cry. My friend has been begging me to try Christie’s for years and I only got there today. I was tempted by the roast beef sandwich and am going to have to go back after reading Malinda F’s review… but I had THEBESTFISHSANDWICH I HAVEEVEREATENEVER… A giant chunk of haddock with the perfect layer of breading on the freshest bread! You knew the sandwich was made to order… the tomato sliced right then. The onion rings were perfectly crunchy and tasty dipped in tartar sauce. The coke could have used a little more ice… The décor is old, but it adds to its charm. Something out of a Coen brothers movie. The two gentlemen working the counter were old school nice guys, and everyone in there was nice/friendly(seemed like we were in an alternate universe!!!). I plan on eating there once a week now that I know my days are numbered! :(
