You just told another person with a complaint that you don’t mind bad reviews because they help you improve your business, so what’s the problem? You also just proved my point that you’re easy to upset. I guess I am too, but with good reason. Maybe you’d be able to charge members lower rates if you start charging all of those visitors from other schools that come to the Saturday morning class. You got this group of like 10 brothers (no birth control apparently) and all they do is beat everyone up and then insult them when you’re not watching. One of them physically threatened me because I went into the bathroom without wearing shoes when apparently that’s one of your rules. I wasn’t going to mention that since I know their behavior isn’t directly your fault. However, they are parasites to your school and even though I still don’t like the program their presence makes it worse.

I wish there were a way to give negative stars. This review is actually about a year late but because I am now receiving countless spam emails from them, I’ve decided to go through with reviewing them.
My husband and I thought it would be a great idea to have the entire family take classes. So we signed up! However, a week later I lost my job. We were quickly finding ourselves in a tight spot. We signed this «contract» with them and we were told by Chris that we would be able to change our minds of we needed to if we did so within a week. As we were instructed to do, we called within the week and advised that we couldn’t afford to do this due to my unemployment and we need to cancel. This is where we learned our lesson. There is a woman that they have there doing «collections» for them. I explained to her our situation and she literally said «well, that’s your problem, not ours. You signed a contract so we will continue to bill your account.» It didn’t matter that we had not even taken one class yet. It had no bearing on her ridiculous and awful attitude toward us. It was nearing Christmas time, I even sobbed like a baby begging her to please stop taking $ 200 payments from our account because she was taking food out of my kids’ mouths! She did not care at all. We did everything we could. My husband even went there and was finally able to speak to Chris himself who promised my husband that he would stop the billing and we would not have to pay anything further. He lied… The lady kept calling us saying that we had to pay a $ 300 settlement to be released from a contract which WE NEVER USED!!! Never attended even one class and returned their gi’s immediately.
We ended up having it pay the $ 300 settlement. On top of the $ 400 in payments they collected from our bank account. What a nightmare this was. This place is absolutely awful. Chris is very deceiving. Has all the charm of a used car salesman and then screws you over via his collection manager. Do not get stuck!

I recently joined the academy to learn the art of BJJ. I was referred by friends that are also a part of the academy. I am currently taking the fundamentals classes. The staff and other members of the academy are very nice. I have only taken a handful of classes so far, but I have learned so much already and I am enjoying myself. I hope to continually improve my skills over the next year.
