I have been a customer for over 10+ years, and John Sophia Jewelers is the only jeweler that I will entrust with my items. They are genuine, heartfelt, caring, and provide the utmost level of customer satisfaction. 5 stars is merely not enough, because I would give them an entire galaxy.

I went here to have two watches serviced, even thought it was out of my way because I read the Google review from a customer who had a Rolex brought in for service. Both watches came out spectacular especially with their new bands. John is a master Watch Maker. This was evident by his work area with all of the specialty tools needed to work on watches. I only know of one other Jeweler in NJ that has a Watch Master on premises, most send your watch out. The price to service my watches was extremely reasonable, I highly recommend a visit to have your watches services.

I spent about 4 months working with both John and his sister Mary Anne, on my engagement ring. They were fabulous. I learned so much from him! The first time I went in, he had an assortment of diamonds and we spent about an hour just looking at them under a loupe with him explaining what everything was that I was seeing. It was extremely helpful! He educated me on different shaped diamonds, GIA vs. EGL and answered any questions i had. John and I discussed all of the specs that were important to me for my stone and brought in diamonds week after week that met those specifications, for me to look at. He also helped me design my setting. I love how honest both John and Mary Anne are. You can trust them a 110% John will always tell his honest opinion. There were times that he preferred a stone that was $ 2,000 less then a stone I was looking at and would tell me that. Since getting my engagement ring there, my brother has also purchased his fiances engagement ring with them and had a fantastic experience as well. I’ve also had several rings re-​dipped, clasps replaced, necklaces cleaned, watches repaired etc. and everything has come out perfectly.
I would highly, highly, highly reccommend Sofia’s!
Neat Fact:
Johns first love, asside from classic cars, is watch making! He was educated in Switzerland on fixing timepieces and it is a labor of love for him. You will notice around the shop some older, interesting clocks up on shelves that he takes down peridocally and works on.
