Absolutely fantastic subs. More then enough cold cut on a half sandwich for one person to be more then filled up. Price is reasonable, paying for what you order and receiving more then what you paid for. Wish they delivered !!

This place is the real deal. Simple, great sandwiches and killer potato salad. They even make their own sodas!

I’ve tried all the delis and specialty places in the area and have to say that this place beats em all. Nothing too fancy or overdone, but consistently serving tasty and quality sandwiches at a fair price. If you’re in the mood for a classic American hero sandwich made with fresh and quality ingredients this is the place to get it.
A half is more than enough for a filling lunch. My go to sandwich spot.

Sandwich’s are good, buts it’s the rude guy taking orders and slicing meat. I have left twice because of his attitudes towards people. Like he hates his job or something! One other thing is that I don’t know if they Are open or not because that white eacalade is always blocking the main view inside. Whatever I’ll go to Kearny instead, same owners I think but nicer crew!

I always get a half, even when pretty hungry. A whole is HUGE!

I was looking for a place that had good quality hoagies nearby. I turned to my Unilocal app for some suggestions and this place popped up.
The location of this place is on Riverside Ave. in Lyndhurst. Its closer to RT. 21 than RT. 3, but it’s accessible from both.
The inside looks like a basic sub shop. No frills, with a good amount of seating.
I ordered the big bite, which is like a big Italian hoagie. You can see the staff making your sandwich, sort of like Subway or Blimpie. The foot long is pretty big. I only ate half of it in one sitting. The sandwich is fresh. Its made from Thumann’s cold cuts, and your choice of pre-​cut veggies, and condiments.
The prices are a bit high, but I guess it isn’t too bad, considering that the quality of the ingredients, does justify spending a little bit more than your average sub shop.

There is no reason to go anywhere else for a SUB around here. No room for improvement

Best classic deli sandwiches around and now they are open later. South Jersey/​Philly People call these hoagies but we call em’ subs up in North Jersey. It’s basically a giant long roll with thinly sliced meats and cheese with all the sub shop staples. It’s a «Mom and Pop» shop version of Blimpie or Jersey Mike’s but tastes much better. Grab a bunch before heading over to MetLife for tailgating.

First off, any place that uses Thumanns knows what the best cold cuts are. Freshly sliced every time and ALWAYS the same amount piled high. Fresh toppings, fresh bread, great prices. Would be nice to pay with debit but I’d rather keep the prices low.
The freshest bread, the best toppings and the nicest workers. When i used to go they didnt have so much hot food options, but I hear that has changed. Looking forward to trying those in the future!

Monster sandwich, a solid go to spot. Employees are really nice.

These are the best subs in town! They have great product and don’t go cheap on the ingredients. I highly suggest going here. The only bad thing is for some reason they don’t deliver! I’m always tired after work and crave there subs but they don’t deliver. It would increase there sales a lot to get a delivery boy. Over all amazing!!!

HUGE sandwiches. One foot long is about 10 bucks and is enough for two meals.
I kept it simple with turkey/​cheese/​lettuce/​tomato but everything tasted fresh and delicious.
I would highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to try their hot subs!

Ohh boy where do I begin? So one day I was looking to see where I could get a good sandwich. This place had some of the best reviews near me so I decided to give a try, I was not disappointed they were awesome. Many reviews on here about the bread which even 3 days after I ordered still was GREAT. And not to mention the size on a whole sub is ginormous, I mean 1 whole sub lasted 3 days lol. If you have a appetite and your graving a really fresh sandwich you’ve looked no further. This is my new place to get subs!!!

Excellent sandwich shop, fresh sliced cold cuts. My fav is big bite sub. Small shop, lil parking lot. They catered for events which is perfect for Super Bowl.
The shop does close early so plan accordingly.

If you’re a local, you know this is the only place in the area worth getting a sub and for a great price! Really look no further. Never had a bad experience here, sandwich is ALWAYS delicious.

Great selection of sandwiches, I ordered the big bite which is the same as a blimpie best. The sandwich was tasty with fresh sliced meat. Compared to tastee subs in Edison was pretty good. The only thing I can knock them is the pricing is a bit more expensive than competitors. Big bite sub compare to a tastee super sub is about 3 dollars more for a whole. This is without extra toppings which an extra dollar. Blimpie gives you a topping for free which includes olives, peppers, pickles, etc. Again you pay extra for taste but its up the person to decide if it’s worth it.

Great subs! Delicious & reasonable prices. I love that they slice the meat right in front of you! So fresh & tasty. Best Italian sub I’ve had up in north jersey so far!

Best sandwich shop on area. I ordered a whole roast beef and cheese sub and it was enough food to feed some third World countries. I love to eat and I could only get through half of it.

I’ve been going to this place for years and not much has changed. Service is quick and the hoagies are delicious.
