Amazing, best Thai food in Whatcom County. The house salad is great and so is the Thai fried rice. I love the fresh rolls and their peanut sauce is my favorite.

Although this place can sometimes have a long wait the food is worth it. We have never been dissatisfied with anything that we’ve ordered, and the staff is so friendly! We also love the atmosphere, it’s always fun to walk the Dutch mall, look through the shops, and dine with the sound of the water.

My husband I and really love this place. We always get take out, and it’s always delicious. My husband has traveled and eaten authentic Thai and says this is really close. Our kids enjoy it too. We even ordered from here when we had an employee dinner and everyone raved about it. They were so surprised that our small town had great Thai food.

My wife and I came here for the first time to try it out. We came at dinner time and were given a lunch menu. Apparently it’s the same menu but we didn’t know that. Right after we were sat at a table we were asked if we were ready to order. We told the waitress we were having a hard time figuring out the menu hoping she would offer some help. She just walked away. I ordered the pod Thai, which I love, but this was just average at best. It came in a big clump on my plate that I had to separate with my fork because it was all stuck together. It was very dry. Our waitress said about four words to us the entire night. I will have to say that I was not impressed nor was my wife. There are a lot of type places to choose from so you have to kind of stand out to bring me back. Needless to say I will be going elsewhere for my Thai food.

The only Thai restaurant in Lynden found itself a peculiar location. The old Lynden«mall» is now filled with Thai food. I haven’t sat down and ate here yet but I have picked up take out a few times. I think the atmosphere is unbalanced, but that is mainly because I’m used to that location being filled with colonial clothes and wooden shoes. Anyways, the place as far as atmosphere goes could really be incredible if they ever are able to renovate in there. The pond that runs down the middle of that building has always been really cool, and the waterfall provides a calming sound. I just picture a completely eastern culture makeover theme in there working incredibly well. But this isn’t PF Changs. Like I said i ordered take out from here a few times. Food usually wasn’t quite ready by the time they said but I always felt they were understaffed, especially when they first opened. They have some great food here if you really love authentic Thai food. For me, I love Asian One… and Chandra’s peanut sauce pales in comparison. But overall a great spot to get some Thai in one of the most non-diverse towns in the country.

The way that they serve food may sometimes be a little bit slow, but it is always worth the wait. Every dish that I have had here, is absolutely fantastic. I have eaten Thai food in Thailand, and the owner here does a just like there!

My mother and I visited here the other evening. We shared spring rolls and the pumpkin prawn curry. The hot jasmine tea was good, as well. Pumpkin curry was surprisingly tasty. Creamy goodness. Service, fine. Lots of takeout activity while we were dining in. My sis vouched for this place and she knows her ethnic eats.

Great tasting food. Nice to have an alternative to pizza, American or fast food in Lynden. I recommend it :) a little over priced but they can get away with higher prices because it’s very good.

This is the best Thai food I’ve had in this area(Whatcom/Skagit Co. s). I’m from Portland and that’s where I first tried Thai and fell in love with it. Well, its a lot harder to find good restaurants here, but Chandara House has really good Thai food. I crave the fried rice all the time now and they make a good Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Tom Yum soup and curries are good too. Well seasoned, not too sweet as some places are… I like spice level 2 or 3… So good! Wish I lived closer to go more often! Oh and the setting is indoor, but on cobblestone veranda that you reach by going using a foot bridge that crosses over an indoor brook… sounds strange, but it’s quite unique and interesting.

SO good! Definitely the best Thai food in the area. This is our go-to dinner spot in Lynden. We’ve ordered lots of different items off the menu and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised with this place. We were here for our daughters volleyball tournament and decided to give it a try. the pad thai was delicious and not that fake looking orange stuff. The tofu was lightly fried and not too heavy. i also has the fresh spring rolls with a yummy dip that was well balanced. my honey had the basil chicken stir fry which had wonderful garlic flavor. you can tell they make their own sauces with fresh ingredients. service was a little slow(but very sweet) so don’t go if you are in a rush.

I love love love this place! Seriously the best food in lynden by far. I’ve lived in Thailand and this is the best Thai food in what com county. The service is sometimes slow if they are busy, but they are always so polite and accommodating and working their hardest! I order take out from there at least once a week! Try the chicken larb, a super healthy dish that is filling and doesn’t have you feeling gross after! The pineapple fried rice is my hubby’s favorite! Try this place, super worth it! And you’re supporting a great local family.

Good Thai food, lots of variety, slower service. The entrance to this place threw me off a bit as it is all Dutch décor but once you get past that it has adorable charm and prices was fair for the amount of food. The service was slower and we received our food one person at a time instead of all at once but that insured it was fresh.

Good food. Frustrating service, they don’t understand you and it took over 45 min to get our food both times we went. Great food though !!

Very good Thai food, especially for the Lynden Bellingham area, was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint with the Pad Thai I ordered was the somewhat thick and sticky sauce, not something I’m used to and made the fish a little heavier than normal. Aside from that the flavor was very good, you could taste the tamarind and fish sauce, it was nicely balanced between sweet, sour, spicy, and savory. I enjoyed the amount of peanuts in the dish which was more than usual, and it was topped with the usual bean sprouts, green onions, a little carrot and lots of chicken. The noodles were cooked perfectly, still with a little chew to them, which was great considering I think they use dry noodles not fresh. All in all I will come back for sure when I’m in the area.

Loved the food. I had the Panang Curry with chicken and it was delicious. My dining companions had the Chicken Gai and they loved theirs, too. They have a good selection of beverages including beer and wine, all reasonably priced. I have struggled in the past with finding great food in this small town where my family lives but I will definitely return to Chandara House. They also offer take away.

Absolutely the best Thai. I have eaten pad Thai in Thailand and this is just as good if not better. My wife loves the sticky rice dessert. Gorgeous setting. Great service. Can’t wait till next time I go there.

So happy Thai is in Lynden! Great authentic Thai food. When ordering take out it seems like they don’t start making it until you get there, but that’s the only flaw I’ve seen. Recommend the Pad see ew and swimming Rama. The peanut sauce is yummy!
