Wayne is a very friendly and professional tailor. He worked on 2 suits for me, did a great job and had them ready when promised. The fee he charged was fair for the amount of work he did. I do recommend him.

I took an evening gown and a cocktail dress in on a Tuesday to be hemmed and altered, never thinking I might have them back by Friday. Wayne assured me he would have them ready by Friday afternoon and he did. I was delighted with his work and will not hesitate to recommend him.

Unfortunately I had a very similar experience to Robert. Wayne was highly recommended and I too had high hopes. I only needed two pairs of pants hemmed, so I felt good that my request seemed simple enough and wouldn’t be a hassle. I delivered the pants and told him what I wanted. I stated clearly that I wanted a 31″ inseam, so there wasn’t a need for measuring or confusion. As Robert said, the shop is essentially in a closet and everything is disorganized. He took my name down on his note pad and a brief description of the pants I was leaving. He said it would be a week, which initially surprised me that it would take that long to hem approximately 2″ off two pairs of pants, but I guess that’s not for me to decide. I came back a week later and he barely, if at all, remembered me. He had to flip through his notebook to realize that he even had my pants and, in fact, had done nothing to them. He asked if I had to do anything around town because he could have them ready in two hours. At this point I was a little frustrated simply because my suspicions of it being an quick and easy job were all confirmed. I however did not get any discount on the price. I felt that I have to give at least two stars because the pants turned out fine. But I don’t think I’ll find another reason to trust my clothing to Wayne’s unfortunately. Still looking for a good taillor in Lynchburg. I’m getting married in September and really want that suit to look great.

Several people had highly recommended Wayne to me for all my tailoring needs, so my expectations were really high. Let’s just say, I was less than impressed. His prices are outrageous, he’s never on time, doesn’t pick up his phone, and hasn’t done a good job with my clothes. It’s a hole in the wall type place where everything is kept track of with a pen and notebook. In my first visit, I needed two shirts repaired(holes in the sleeves) and a pair of pants tailored(taken in, legs hemmed). I tried to explain to him how I wanted the pants to fit, but he kept interrupting and saying«I know what you want — you want it to fit modern.» He quickly took a few measurements and sent me on my way. Based on my friends recommendations, I figured he knew what he was doing. When I came back a week later to pick up my clothes, they weren’t finished — as promised. He told me to come back in a few days and he’d have them ready. He was nice enough to take $ 5 off the total for my inconvenience. The shirts he stitched up, though they ripped again a week later. The pants were too tight and not done the way I wanted. I was disappointed. On my second trip, I took those same shirts back to have the sleeves cut off and turned into short sleeve button downs. I also took a buddy, because he needed some jeans tailored. As I tried to explain how I wanted the shirts, he again interrupted me and explained that he knew what I wanted. He said it would take a week, but I got really busy and didn’t have time to pick them up. So three weeks after dropping them off, I stopped by to pick them up and they STILLWEREN’T READY. I was shocked, though I shouldn’t have been. Again, he told me to come back a few days later — I did, and his teenage son was there to greet me. This time, though, he did not cut me a deal because of the inconvenience. Now about my buddy — he took a pair of jeans in that he wanted to be shaped like another pair that he really liked. Long story short, Wayne tailored the pair of jeans that he was supposed to use as a guide, therefore ruining them.
