One of the best churches I have ever attended. The preaching, worship, and Spirit is always wonderful. The church’s history is amazing for God did remarkable things and continuos to touch Lynchburg and the surrounding area through its ministries. I always look forward to attending on Sunday’s and being part of the wonderful groups of believers. If your in Lynchburg we hope to see you Sunday!!!

We as a family have been members @ this church since we moved to this area in 2008. We truly appreciate & grateful for the«Heart» of this Church Their dedication to the core values overrides everything they do… «Commitment to Scriptures; Culture of Prayer; Lifestyle of Worship; Connection to Community; Heart for Serving & Passion for Sharing» Of course NO Church is perfect but their sincere commitment to the Centrality of Christ is unquestionable. Perhaps one of the drawbacks could be that it is certainly a large church, which means you could get lost in the numbers and feel insignificant, which can be surely overcome IF you get connected with like-minded folks in one of the many Sunday Schools and Life Groups. Lots of safe places for your children to get connected as well! There are many places at Thomas Road Baptist Church you can serve & be served! This Church truly impacts their world both Globally & Locally for CHRIST! One perhaps, most unique aspect of this church is that EVERY Evangelical Church in the 45 mile radius of Lynchburg has someone impacted by this ministry!

It’s interesting to come here once, whether or not you’re Baptist or even Christian, just to see Jerry Falwell’s televised service being taped. It’s fun to watch the videographers get around the sanctuary and make the show. It’s well choreographed, but doesnt’ really feel like church. Still, the church is active and has a heart for their community.
