What a fun little spot in the square. We were desperate for food so we stopped at the spot closest to where we parked. We were able to sit right down and order. The menu is very small but the place has a lot of character. There is even a train that actually runs around a track near the ceiling. This is not the spot for those who don’t eat meat. There were no fish options either. However, their baked potato was bangin and just what I would want from a BBQ place. There were also 4 sauce options on each table which I love, especially being a self proclaimed dipper. The spicy BBQ sauce was mouth watering. My meat eater loved the ribs and said they were some of the best he’s had. They come with a multitude of sides: coleslaw, baked beans, bread and butter. They also had a little Shop where you could buy tees and BBQ sauce. Win! They could get a 5 if they catered more to those who don’t eat meat. Maybe add some Salmon or a veggie BBQ mix to the menu. I had the BBQ pizza. It was alright. Notthing great or outstanding about it. I got the medium size and had plenty to eat. Iam from ny so i guess i have high standards for pizza and unfortunately this didnt meet it. The dish to get is the sausage meal. A person at my table let me try it and it was delicious.

We stopped in after the Jack Daniels tour and were pleased with our BBQ pizza. We’ve had Chicken BBQ pizza before but the pulled pork BBQ pizza was great! A large was plenty for four adults.

Stopped by for some BBQ after our Jack Daniels distillery tour. We ate the rice and beans which were yummy and a little spicy. Also a hotdog :) we were two people and paid $ 10 total. A steal for the country BBQ food we ate. Enjoyed it. Also don’t miss the jack daniels shop where there is many things to buy for souvenirs.

After touring Jack Daniels Distillery, we drove a few blocks to the town square of Lynchburg. We stopped at this restaurant for a lunch…3 adults and a child. 2 adults split the BBQ dinner $ 9.99, the other adult had a bowl of red beans, and the child ate of off our BBQ plate. We all had a glass of sweet tea. The food was mediocre. The tea was meh… The bill, however, was outstanding. The charge was $ 27.97. Be ware all tourists. Go somewhere else, unless you are predisposed to spending a lot of $$ for very little portions of underwhelming food. Never again for us!

This was a neat little place. The food was okay I have definitely had better. I also think the prices for the area were a little steep for what it was. I would choose a different restaurant next time I go. I should have done a better Unilocal view before I went.

I went there after touring the Jack Daniels distillery at the recommendation of a gentleman at the distillery. I spent $ 12 the waitress was excellent gave her a $ 5 tip the barbecue was reasonably good I ordered a BBQ baked potato with pulled pork on it they offered bacon bits on the menu… Which turned out to be fake soy bacon bits they were absolutely disgusting and totally ruin the flavor of the pork. it really makes no sense to me why people would ruin their bbq over a tablespoon of bacon bits that were real good quality food is really not more expensive when the client comes back I spoke to the owner he doesn’t even care. not only will I not go back I wouldn’t recommend you bother. In all fairness they did bring me another potato without the bacon bits on them but the beans that they call homemade or not really they’re kind of semi homemade. they didn’t taste terrible but they were nothing to brag about on a positive note they did have decent sweet iced tea which I found in the South hit or miss.

We ate after our Jack tour. The place isn’t anything fancy. Paper plates and cups and plastic utensils; but that didn’t matter because the food was delicious. Can honestly say the ribs were better than I’ve had in Memphis. Real butter for your white bread. Baked beans were tasty. My husband said the potato salad was good. Just cannot say enough about the ribs. Lots of flavor and very tender. We plan to do another tour and will probably come back and get these ribs. They were great.

Wow, do I hate myself for not reading the Unilocal reviews before coming in? Yes. I guess I can only blame T-mobile for not giving me the service necessary for a quick search. This place should’ve been our savior after a cold and rainy Jack D’s tour. Sadly, we left in a worse mood! We ordered the bbq pizza and the lackluster four-rib plate. I ordered the pizza thinking it would be similar to other delicious bbq pizzas I’ve had in the past, but there I went assuming again! No other toppings but cheese, pork and sauce. Yawn! The servers were confused about who should take our table and then forgot what we ordered to drink. We felt like the«best I ever had» slogan on the walls was comical, as there’s nothing special about this place other than the fact that it’s located in the hometown of the Jack Daniel’s distillery. I hate writing bad reviews, but as a public service announcement, go elsewhere. Please!

Had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans. The meat was flavorful with no need for the provided sauce choice. The beans were not baked; they were pork and beans heated up(tasted like canned). For dessert, I had the bread pudding. This is my favorite dessert, so I always have high expectations. The consistency was pleasant and the spice mix decent, but it was swimming in an overly sweet sauce that ruined the dish for me. Not a bad deal for the price, but with few options in the square, it is the best you can do

THEFOODMADEMEANDMYSONSICK. We both got a type of food poison and spent the whole day in the bathroom and in bed. If you were here on 11÷25÷14 and also got sick, please reach out to me. Overall the food is terrible, everything the sell, you can tell was not fresh or prepared there. All probably bought at the grocery store. Like other reviewer wrote, «this place is a typical tourist trap». Food is really expensive for what it delivers, and the false advertisement«the best ribs I ate»…So misleading… Plastic plates, plastic silverware… The taste of the BBQ was horrible. If you think that this food is good, you never experienced any good food in your life and should be pretty sad about that. We ended up staying as we were too nice to leave. I will never do that, in the future, I will step into a place that I do not like, I will stand up and leave. Do not go to this place, you may get sick.

Needs a manager who can train the waitstaff to pick up food while hot and not to run around in circles without knowing what to do next. My pizza came on a cardboard circle, all of our food was cold. At one point the cook came out and begged the waitresses to pick up their food. There was a huge pile of cooked food just sitting there. With a little management it could be a nice place.

We ducked in here after the Jack Daniels distillery tour because it was raining and we were hungry. We were allowed to sit anywhere, so we sat in the booth which is actually the VIP section when a band/performer has guests, so we made sure we clapped for the featured singer. Staff was nice and we enjoyed talking to them. I had the pulled pork, but I noticed the red beans and rice has a kick to it. All good and reasonably priced. Also, if you«like» them on Facebook, you get a free beer cozy.

If you go on the Jack Daniels Tour, you end up coming here because there are few other options and every tourist seems to come here because it’s the in thing to do. This place has a friendly and inviting atmosphere and good sweet tea, but the BBQ is sub par. It’s below average, even for tourist food. Still, it’s not a bad option because the price is so cheap, so if you’re bringing a family by you can get in and out quickly and spend a nominal amount. Just don’t expect to be impressed, at least not if you’re from the South.

Went here after the Jack Daniels Distillery tour, it was delicious! I had the pull pork was tender and put together with the BBQ was superb. On the other hand my uncle did have the jambalaya and it does need to have some work, being from NJ I expected more from the south when it comes to jambalaya. The staff was extremely nice and I enjoyed the nice touch of having a man play some live music for enterainment.

This place doesn’t even cook their own BBQ, hence the non BBQ or smoky scent you expect from a true Q joint. Went around back to find no smoker present hmmm kinda weird right? Sub par bought BBQ that is not worth the time. What a joke.

Had a large delicious plate of jambalaya – I was in heaven. It was gooooooood spicy jambalaya. Otherwise, the waitress was nice enough to serve us even though we were being ignorant«out of towners» and coming in 10 minutes until closing. We got held up by the Jack Daniels tour and of course we had to go get souvenirs. Since, by that time, the little town looked like everything was closing, we decided to stop in. Our waitress was kind, quick, and efficient considering she was getting ready to close up shop. Boyfriend had the BBQ Pulled Pork. I got to try a bite and it was really good. Probably the best BBQ Pork I’ve had in a while. Overall, this place was really cute. The ambiance was super casual and definitely a southern looking joint. Loved the relaxed feel of it all. AND was so happy they decided to serve us even though they were about to close. :)

Nice little barbecue shack. If this was up here in the north, it would probably get four stars, but hey, this is the south, and the bonus points you get for being authentic is more of an ante. That being said, the barbecue is solidly good and the sauces are tasty. A unique offering is their loaded baked potato filled with beans and pulled pork. Super hearty and filling, but great. Service is friendly and the place is, well a barbecue place. So there is a lot of mis-matched chairs and tables and lots of random stuff on the walls. All that you would want from a proper barbecue restaurant. Note: cash only — there is an ATM on-site.

We had some time to kill before our tour started at Jack Daniel’s, so we walked over to downtown Lynchburg. I love barbecue places, so we stopped in at the Bar-B-Que Caboose. My wife always thought she hated barbecue, but it turns out that she hates barbecue sauce. She got the pulled pork sandwich, without any sauce and really enjoyed it. I also got the pulled pork, but I blessed mine with plenty of sauce. We both left happy. Service was very friendly and amazingly quick. We had plenty of time to enjoy our meal and still make it back to the distillery on time. My only complaint is that it’s cash only. They have an ATM in the back, and all the other shops can handle plastic. As far as I’m concerned, there is no excuse for this. It also lowered their review score.
