Nina’s is a lovely little candy store/general shop that I make certain to stop at whenever I’m in the area. The prices are very reasonable considering what you’re getting, and they always have free samples. If you’re in Lynchburg, you definitely need stop in. Their fudge and truffles are delicious, whether you’re trying the kind made with Jack Daniels or not. And chocolate’s not all that they have, of course. They have a variety of jams/jellies, vegetables, and the like, as well as other knickknacks. It’s a wonderful place to spend at least a few minutes browsing. Just keep in mind that the odds are high that if you walk in empty-handed, you won’t be leaving that way.

What to eat for desert after a meat and three blue plate special? How about get’n out of that seat and wandering on down to Nina’s for some Jack Damiels chocolate fudge… Oh man, to die for salty/sweet JD flavored fudge. Johnny and Linda Ward make this cozy little shop a haven for those of us looking for that certain sweet tooth fix. Free samples of their homemade fudge and carmel sauce are a must have. Just try to get out without your own goodies after a taste. Word has it that mixing the carmel sauce in your coffee in the morning will jump start your day. I’ll let you know! Have fun! Travel safe!
