Karako Suits of Lynbrook

I bought 1 suit here. I heard the deals on the radio before, but the deals tend to be on items that are not the best quality and seem to be a gimmick to move out their «lesser» merchandise. The suit i did buy was nice and they tailored it nicely. Customer Service is very good and they are attentive.
Not as pricey as JOS K Bank, but not as good either.

This is our second time shopping at Karako’s of Lynbrook for my son and he is not an easy guy to shop for because he is very tall (almost 6 feet) and very skinny (29 waist), but the gentleman assisting us helped pick a perfect suit, just the color we all agreed on, and with a couple of alterations, we should be golden.

Large selection of suits. Some are of decent quality and many are on the lower end. The customer service is not really that great and you would think for a commission store it would be over the top. They do have some great deals and if you are shopping on a budget, this is the place for you.

I’ve been here twice and have had a good experience both times. The suites are great for the price (cheap). The woman who helped me was nice and had me try a bunch of suits until I got the one that was right. She tried suits of different prices so I know she wasn’t trying to hustle money out of me.

I have been to Kurako three times in 5 years and each time my experience is better and I come from Manhattan just to shop here!
Men’s Warehouse is good for certain things and I like them but Kurako is better in several ways. Firstly they are totally transparent about pricing and quality. They have the 15 piece package that includes shirts, ties and a couple of suits and it’s a good deal for many people but if you’re like me I like my shirts and ties a certain way and always buy my shirts from a place that I know fits me (bigger stocky guy).
So if you don’t want the Kurako package, they do not try and hard sell you on it. They simply tell you the sale price of the suit and if there’s any flexibility on further discounts with the more you buy. Honestly if you come here buy at least two suits – they will last longer and you will get more for your money.
Shurana (sp) waited on me and was professional, knowledgeable and friendly but I also could tell the other sales people were professional and with «a good eye» –meaning they knew what fit on their customers and the latest trends in fashion but also attentive to classic looks and styles.
The LIRR train stops at Lynbrook so getting there is not that hard and the parking is decent for that neighboorhood. If you like above average suits and want to be treated like a person then I’d recommenced you visit Kurako suits in Lynbroook.

I’ve used this specific location solely due to living extremely close and too lazy to drive to Carle Place. This proved to be a very big mistake, I’ve found that the customer service at this location is down right afoul. The people who work there are anything but helpful or knowledge able about what they can and cant do or how to do it. Every question I had concerning there suit package left me standing in confusion as the person helping me had to go ask someone else. I wouldn’t have had any issue if this were one occasion and I be pointed to the right knowledgeable person but it was over 3 – 4 trips I had to make trying to collect the correct sizes, for I was purchasing gifts for 3 people. To make matters worse the people work there are border line stand offish and cold, acting as if ever simple question was an intrusion on there precious time standing around. I highly recommend not wasting your time or energy at this location and tendering your business else where, I wish I had.

Wanted a new summer suit and didn’t want to drive all over the place to find something. Came here on a whim because of their «Buy 1 Get 16 Free» offer and I ended up getting something. The offer noted is quite costly as you have to pay full price for the suit… So if the suit you picked out has a tag that says $ 319, read the fine print above the price because that’s the real price. My suit, if I took the B1G16 deal would have been $ 699, then you need to get everything altered there as part of the deal as well and pay tax on it. So you’re one suit turns into an expensive wardrobe, which is okay if you need 3 suits.
As for the tailor that works there, she is very good. The suit fit perfectly without need for further alteration the first time and that has never happened to be before.

I used this place to rent tuxes for my wedding. I was the groom and had 8 groomsmen. All of whom live out of town. So I went there with all their measurements to order their tuxes and accessories. They were painfully slow at taking that number of rentals. I had to leave and come back later because they didn’t know what they were doing and had to wait to get help from another location. They couldn’t figure out how to ring it up and overall the customer service was poor. You’d think that with almost 2 grand in rentals they would be more accommodating.
Once I got the deposits paid on the suits, we all showed up the day before the wedding to pick up the rentals. There were no issues at that time. Then on the wedding day I had both buttons fall off my suit jacket. So I could not close my tux for pictures at all. When I told them at the store their response was «What does it matter, your’s was free». Being the groom and renting so many suites means I get a free tux, so at this place you get what you pay for. I did have to pay a $ 7 fee for my tux and they refused to refund me that.
The only reason I didn’t give them one star is because they do have a good selection of suits, ties, shoes, and other accessories. Overall their customer service is well below what is expected and the quality of their rentals is questionable. The only reason I rented here is because they were the only place carrying the tuxes I wanted. If you can avoid this place, do it.
