Was a very loyal customer under previous management but called to make new appointment and found out ownership and doctors are all new. Was still willing to give them a chance but took over 10 mins on phone trying to make appointment and finally hung up because I was on hold indefinitely for not sure what reason. Maybe they are still figuring things out but when you take over a business old customers are going to be a bit apprehensive to begin with so you don’t want to give them any more reason to leave. Wound up switching to another eye doctor closer to our home.

A nose pad came off my glasses. Eye Care Professionals were so nice and professional to fix it. Did not make me wait. I visited Eye Care Professionals while I was away from my home eye care place and could not wait to get my glasses fixed, so a quick Internet search led me here. I was very impressed by the quality of everything: very clean, bright, great friendly staff, super service. If I did not have an established long-term relationship with a distant doctor, my next glasses would be from here. Sense of the place: [I am not sure this is a Unilocal category, but it is always an important factor and it can veto a place for me regardless of everything else]. Clear(my highest rating). This was my first time making an appt to get my eyes checked. This is something that I have truly dreaded and I had no idea what to expect. The front desk asst was extremely nice. Very soon after the doctor came to get me and we went through the whole eye exam ordeal. Once finished it was determined that reading glasses would be beneficial to me and to help alleviate some recent headaches that I have been experiencing. I did move on to the glasses section with my file to determine what frames I would want. This was a slightly confusing process. It had nothing to do with the ladies working either because they were very nice and helpful. The confusion was all me and having no idea what I was doing. Since I work at home, I just needed some glasses to get me by. I did explain that to the ladies and thankfully they helped me find some lower cost frames. In all, it was a great experience. Glad it’s over tho ;)

These people are unprofessional and inept in their billing and customer service side. Earlier this year, we only purchased contacts for my wife. We didn’t do an exam or fitting. It turns out, when they ran the contact benefit on my insurance, they killed off the«contact fitting» benefit from our insurance. About a week ago, they called my wife to let her know its time for her eye appointment, which was accurate. They also mentioned on the phone call what we already know, that she used her actual contact benefit, but not the exam. Today was her appointment and they did the entire exam, including the contact fitting. As she was leaving, she expected to pay her $ 40 copay when, surprise, they were charging her the full price. They completely failed to disclose the pricing upfront to us and lied to my wife regarding what happened. My wife happens to have extensive experience in insurance billing so to talk to her in the manner they did, was even more unprofessional. Until they make this right, I will ensure as many people know about this experience and never trust this company. I will also be contacting the insurance company and BBB this week if not rectified.

Just picked up my new lenses. After years of wearing glasses and contacts I finally feel like I have found an excellent doctor who not only looks after the health of my eyes but is able to put me in the perfect prescription for both glasses and contacts. My husband has also switched over to Dr. Scamard and has been happy with his precription as well. Only negative is that a few times we have been called to come in to pick something up and only part of the order was ready or the person who was to fix something was not in that day. Front office staff could use some customer service training but they may not be connected to the Dr. who is excellent. Large selection of frames as well.
