Mother & Sons Moving

Just to be clear… any interested person can ask me about the review that I posted as there is a lot more than what I disclosed. As far as not making a payment as indicated by Anna, I not only paid what was quoted, but I paid an additional $ 400 MORE than the quoted price and they were suppose to come back to finish the move for an additional $ 200 MORE… an amount that was not paid as they did not return to finish the job nor to return the patio furniture that was in their truck… so Yes I paid…$ 400 more than the quote and with patio furniture. Read the reviews that are not recommended as they also mirror my experience if the owner hasn’t had the reviews removed.

Just finished the easiest move we’ve ever had! Thank you thank you Gloria, Brian, and Jonathan. They guys were absolutely professional and a pleasure to be around. We’re so grateful for the help!

I’ve used Mother and Sons 5 times so far. They have also moved my family members. They are incredible movers. Jonathon is the best at packing and time management. He makes sure our move always run smooth. The other guys listen to him and don’t dilly dally at all. The owner, Gloria is such a sweetheart. She always there ready to accommodate any requests I have. Her prices are great. After our third move I no longer call a bunch of movers to get quotes. Gloria’s work ethic, dependability and great prices prove that she is the best.

Moving sucks. Movers, in general, suck. I’ve moved three times in the last year locally and interstate. This review is for a same day move. I was present at the departure and final destination on the same day. I was wary because I’ve been nickle and dimed while my stuff is on the truck and I have no control, I’ve been given estimates only to have that change in the middle of the move, etc. etc. Here’s what you want in a mover: 1) Get a phone estimate, list what you have. Be honest. 2) Make sure they do a walk through of your place. If things take longer than expected, its on them as they had ample time to assess the place 3) Have a contact in the business who is not involved in the physical move. The conductor. 4) Have payment expectations in advance.
Gloria is the conductor of this business. She works her tail off. She’s old school and will work hard for you. She is HONEST. She did all of the above. The movers she sent me worked way longer than expected. She worked with me on this and did not cheat me (see #2 above). Her movers, John and Jonathan worked hard. They were kind and they wanted to help. We did not get everything done that we needed (two destinations, it was complicated) and my last destination had building restrictions, but they tried to help me nonetheless and set me up so I could easily finish what was necessary. This company is honest and consists of real, hard working people who care That’s all you can ask when you’re looking for a bargain while your boxes hold you hostage.
The one star review below? Ask Gloria about it. That woman never paid and was not honest about what she had to move.
