Called here looking for ingredients for a special recipe. They had exactly what we needed and were incredibly helpful. The owner is very nice. They also sell cuban sandwiches and other menu items — plus they have a butcher selling cuts of meat like top sirloin etc. at excellent prices. What a gem of a shop/restaurant in Lutz! We’ll be coming back.

It was closed for a while and now reopened. It’s nice to see a new business there but it’s not as good as the old one. The sandwich prices are OK while lacking in some areas such as the ham used on the Cuban sandwich is a little soft and fatty. Don’t try the cheese steak sandwich, save your money for a real one down the road. The parking lot is small and is very hard to enter at 50mph because it’s right on Hwy 41 nestled back between other buildings making it hard to see in time to slow down enough to turn in without being rear-ended. Also, once in a while there is a smoking grill in the parking lot making smoke, but never anything cooking on it. Just a trick to get people to pull in!

They switched ownership a while ago and switched gears toward being a café more than a market. They still have some Latin foods and groceries but the have dramatically reduced the stock. Sadly many of the specialty items I came here for are no longer on the shelves.
As for the café portion they have added tables inside for the customers. They also have some very tasty food at very affordable prices. If you grab a lunch plate you’ll have enough for dinner too. This time around I got the Cuban sandwich and I think it’s the fullest Cuban I have ever seen, loaded high with lechon asado all for $ 5.50.
Overall I docked them a star for the supermarket portion of the store but the food in the café is top notch.
