I’ve done Zumba many places but from now on I only want to go here ! We’ve done booty jam and Zumba and the classes are super fun ! The instructors make you feel at home and they are really encouraging and keep you laughing. Everything is really organized and the studio is fantastic !

Like plain tofu plopped from a carton, Flava Fitness Studio isn’t much. There’s a small shop with less than twenty pieces of apparel for sale(I’ve never actually seen anyone look in there, let alone buy something), a cooler of drinks behind the counter(probably there since the place opened because, again, I’ve never seen anyone purchase one) and the dance floor. But what makes tofu(and Flava Fitness studio) special isn’t what the box holds, it is what you add to it. Flava Fitness studio is the only place I’ve heard of in the Tampa area that hosts PIYO sessions. These sessions are a combination of strength, full body toning, stretching and sweating. It isn’t easy. Your arms will hurt, your legs will burn, your core will hate you and your brain will be asking you over and over why are you doing this? That’s how you know it is a good workout. The instructor, Meeghan, runs PIYO classes on Thursday night and Saturday morning. She is looking to add another night during the week as well. The studio also hosts a mommy and baby dance class and Zumba and plans are in the beginning stages for a Barre inspired workout to be offered. I’m not sure about the others but all of Meeghan’s classes are dirt cheap(talking like five dollars for an hour). Flava Fitness studio itself isn’t much but those ingredients that are simmering in the pot are some of the most active and unique I’ve seen in Tampa. Currently, they are also some of the cheapest. Get in now before this place takes off. Just remember to bring your own water bottle. I don’t trust those in the cooler.
