Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery

never told I was seeing a nurse practitioner instead of a DOCTOR. Um, my real doctor referred me to a SPECIALIST, Not a wanna be doctor. Fraud. That’s why it was so easy to get an appointment.

I was disappointed with the wait time, and felt the visit was not thorough. I felt rushed. The Dr. did not go over any of the information I gave to the intake nurse and when I left, I realized many questions I had went unanswered. I was placed in a room and waited almost an hour and no apology was given for the long wait. Also, the laser machine in the room was so dusty that I would not go there for laser hair removal. the rest of the office is very nice and nurse Cynthia was very nice also.

The doctors and aesthetician are wonderful, and the facility and services are good. BUT there is one major draw back: THE CALL CENTER. If you need to call the doctor or aesthetician about something (questions regarding a procedure), you have to call the office number which transfers you to a call center, and the hold times are not pleasant. In addition, if your person is not in the office, you have to leave a message and wait to call them back. If they don’t call back, you have to call the dreaded call center again. People’s time is valuable and time is MONEY! I do not understand why a doctor’s office needs a call center other than the fact that they have too many branches/​locations. It would be better if the calls went directly to the location that the patient visits. For this problem alone, I’d rather find another dermatologist. My time is MONEY!

Best dermatologist I’ve been to. I’ve also been to a couple of the other offices because not all the offices have the same special lasers for my different procedures. At this location, I see Dr Ross and she is fantastic, so is her staff! Since I am self pay they give me discounts on everything and TONS of free samples. One time, I needed a steroid cream that, without insurance, is extremely expensive ($ 1200! for a giant tube), and they had a one time coupon for a free tube!!! SIMPLY AMAZING!
