Lemmon Funeral of Dulaney Valley

I just came from my Dads funeral and I have to say that Bryan Clary, the funeral director, was amazing. He met with our family to plan the funeral and made my mother feel so well taken care of. He spent 3 hours with us and later that night he was on the phone trying to get a legible copy of my fathers discharge papers so that a representative of the navy could play taps at the funeral. He handled everything even ordering death certificates and tomorrow is going to my mothers home to help her with insurance and other things she needs to do. He was patient, respectful and caring. I cannot say enough about him.

Not that I make a point of reviewing funeral homes, but the past year has gotten me out to several funeral homes. This is a clean and modest funeral home. There are several rooms for various sized crowds. It looks like it has been updated with fresh looking carpets and nicely appointed rooms. This doesn’t have a large parking lot, but parking overflows into the neighboring lot.

I feel kind of awkward writing a review for a funeral home, but here it goes…
A member of my family passed, and this funeral home is located close to where they lived as well as the place they were to be buried. I can’t recall ever coming here before, but I could be mistaken.
The entrance to this place is on a one lane road, so double check directions before coming here. My GPS tried to send me down the wrong end of the street, but luckily I saw a family member and followed them in.
Both the viewing and the service were held here instead of a church. We were given one of their multiple rooms: various furniture spread around the room for sitting, a coat rack (they brought us another one when we needed it). They also had tables where we put picture albums, framed pictures, and various memorabilia. They also gave us the option of creating a slide show that could be shown during the viewing (there were two screens). I thought it was a nice touch, and I had never seen that done before. They also provided us with multiple easels when we had too many pictures, certificates, or framed things. A worker subtly came in to check on us every so often, and they were often easy to find: providing us with tissues and small bottles of water upon request. Downstairs was a restroom facility as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The staff was incredibly polite, respectful, and sensitive. They even organized cars for parking for us the morning of the service (to allow easy exit for the cars going to the burial).
The only gripe I had was with a misprint that they typed. The day of the viewing, they had it typed up that the service the next day was to be at a church (which was incorrect). They apologized profusely, and it was honestly easy enough for us to correct and tell the guests. Easy enough, and I am not going to put them too much at fault: there were multiple people trying to help organize this, and it is entirely possible that one member of the party told them incorrect information.
