I recently took a bridesmaid dress and a pair of uniform pants for alterations into J&J’s after searching through reviews and asking several local shops and was very happy with the outcome. They told me the price before they did the work so that there were no hard feelings upon pick-up and the prices and turn around time were about what I expected, very fair. I would definitely go back. Oh, and both times I went in, the regular customers had very friendly interactions with staff. It seemed like they took the time to become familiar with their customers.

J&Js does excellent work! They are very friendly and professional. I recently had an item in need of quick attention and John at the Padonia location has been so helpful. Thank you!

I tried giving this place a second chance, and I really wish I didn’t. I just went to pick up my second bridesmaids dress from them and just like my last gown, it didn’t fit! The tailor(whom is very sweet) initially told me he was taking it in and it would be fine. I trusted him(big mistake). I went in to pick up my dress and it didn’t fit at all(apparently to my surprise all he did was tighten a strap). He told me to just put tape on it. Really? I pay how much money to just tape the dress myself? And whats worse is the staff was pretty rude about the whole ordeal. So now they are going to charge me more money to alter what should have been fixed in the beginning. It’s unfortunate. Weddings should be fun, but this tailor brings nothing but stress. Avoid it.

I regret going to J&J’s. I brought in my lightly soiled shirts and one pair of pants only to find that my shirts seemed to have gotten dirtier upon pick up. The brown marks that appear around the collar had barely even faded away and I was finding spots that were previously not there when I had dropped off my clothes. The only thing that turned out okay were my black pants but who knows, they’re probably just as dirty as the rest of my dry cleaning.

Finally, a great neighborhood tailor in the Towson area. I shop at Nordstrom and Brooks Brothers for work clothes and need to have most things altered. They were fast, affordable and did excellent work. For golfers… I bought a pair of Footjoy lined rain pants. Nordstrom and my local tailor wouldnt touch them but J&J Was able to shorten them about 5″ and they look great!

I was looking for a reputable cleaner to dry clean a delicate silk blouse. I barely walked through the door didnt even get a chance to speak & already encountered the extremely rude front staff –couldn’t believe the terrible attitude first thing in the morning. I came here because of the good reviews on Unilocal but couldnt walk out fast enough

The employees of J&J could not be nicer. I live much closer to the location further up York Road by Padonia, but I am happy to go out of my way(and park in a difficult lot) just to interact with such kind, professional folks. All dry cleaning and tailoring has met my expectations. I really can’t say enough good things about J & J.

I love a great neighborhood dry cleaner. This saves me time and money. We dropped off a wool men’s suit and a women’s wool winter coat. Everything came back clean and looking great. Also, I like that they are constantly busy with dry cleaning and alterations. To me, this is a sign of good business. I look forward to returning to test their alteration skills.
