Went here with coworker twice. We tried their sushi, bento of the day, utonkatsu etc. I love their miso soup! And all other food is delicious, the service is good too. We decide to make it a must go place next time if we travel here again

Really good, really fresh, good service, and good tea. We tried the bento boxes and some sashimi; they were both delicious.

Oh Edo. Oh EDO! URGH, EDO! I still have wet dreams about you Edo. Fresh fishies swimming frantically to not be caught! But ARE caught! And sliced and put on my plate and soon to my tongue where it melts like butter on a hot pan! How amazingly fresh your little fishies are. And how I feel like melting chocolate when I sit at your sushi bar and sip on my toasty sake. And how the sushi chefs love me because we can banter in Spanish and the overbearing, micromanaging manager can’t understand us. Hehehehe! I love you and will always love you, Edo. I long for the day I see you again, until then, stay you, no one loves you like I love you remember that, Edo. No one.

I can’t get enough of this place! Such a nice little gem! My office gets lunch from here probably once a week and the food is always fresh and absolutely perfect! I’ve never been disappointed at all and I plan to be a frequent customer for many years to come! Oh, don’t forget to subscribe to their texts because you can get discounts and coupons and such that way! Now, gonna go get lunch from there right now!

Native NYers struggled to find a great sushi place in the Towson area and we struck gold with Edo in Timonium. We love being welcomed back time after time. Bento boxes are best we ever had and the specialty sushi rolls are always fresh and creative. Domo Maki roll is one of my favs. Staff is attentive and sweet — great place, highly recommended from choosy former NYers :)

This is the best Sushi restaurant in the overly saturated sushi and sashimi restaurant row in the York Road to the Hunt Valley corridor. When we invite our graduate school friends over to dinner, we choose this restaurant. I am able to encourage my 15 year old son to get straight A’s at Dulaney High, in all honors classes, by rewarding him with an honor roll dinner here. He loves the fried bananas, and we loved the tempura Oreo cookies(I would have used double stuffed).

Out in an area we were not familiar with. Went here because of Unilocal reviews and it was excellent. Best sushi I have had in a long time. Plus they use real napkins, warm towels, real chopsticks and have a great atmosphere.

Excellent sushi! We had a variety or rolls ranging from their specialities to the classic rolls. All of the rolls were excellent. They even had a Chesapeake roll which had fried oyster in it which was really good. We also had a variety of sides ranging from shumai to jellyfish salad. Yes, jellyfish salad! Surprisingly, it was pretty good although it was chewy. No one complained about any of our sides. The atmosphere is ok. It’s small and the decorations are very simple. Oh, and the service was excellent. I’d def come back here for sushi.

I always find good parking there without a problem. I went with my g/f and had a great time. We were with full at the end of the night. I got the bento box which I found the price to be very reasonable and delicious. In addition, we shared ice cream together. The place is very clean and respectful.

We’ve eaten at Edo sushi for a long time. I never knew how lucky we were! Tonight, when we were desperate for delivery(we live over 20 mins away from Edo) we tried another restaurant. BIGMISTAKE. Edo is true to the standard sushi recipe, meaning no odd surprises! They do NOT skimp on ingredients and somehow, still have your order ready on time! Staff is very welcoming and byob atmosphere– very pleasant. Won’t stray again!

The food at Edo Sushi Timonium wins on taste, presentation and freshness. We ate there early this past Friday evening and it was quiet and calm with plenty of tables available. First, the greeting at the door and then the hot towel when we were seated. We had the Seared Tuna appetizer.(We requested a milder version and the sesame seed was perfect). The Shrimp Shumai were light and flavorful. The Maki special was fresh, artistically presented and something we would order again. The menu is extensive with many choices, raw, cooked, tempura, teriyaki, udon. The Udon looked superb, but, for me, that would have to wait for a chilly autumn night. We will return. The hot towel at the end of the meal was a nice touch. It is BYOB. Not a problem as a liquor store is next door.

I have been to fusion, umi sake, and Yamamoto which they all are in close approximity and in my own opinion this Edo sushi was most tasty plus customer service was excellent compare to three restaurants I mentioned.

What is not to like about Edo Sushi? My wife discovered it when she took a sushi class given by the owner. We have gone back a number of times. The décor is simple, with clean lines. You feel a Japanese design influence. It is BYOB and there is a liquor store next door. They give you a hot towel at the beginning and end of the meal. It is reasonably priced. Those reasons are nice but the real reason we keep coming back is the food. The soft shell crab maki roll I was dubious about but we now order it almost every time. Yummy! Crazy roll and Golden dragon are good too. I don’t see some of the things online that we enjoy and can’t remember their names. You can’t really go wrong. We have enjoyed everything we have had there.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The sushi is AMAZING. When our family and friends come to visit, they ask to come here because it is that good. We love the golden dragon roll, the shrimp tempura and I especially love the chef’s one that is wrapped in cucumber(blanking on the name). It’s BYOB which is a big plus for us. The service is excellent. It’s kid friendly and quick. We will be moving away in 2 years and this is definitely one of the places we will miss.

I’ve found myself going back more and more. I’m there one or twice a week. The staff are wonderful, the sushi is fresh and the prices are excellent. I’ve tried several sushi restaurants in the area and this one is the best! They have an extensive menu and something for everyone. The portions are nice and balanced in flavor, texture and freshness. I always feel taken care of by the friendly staff. And always remember to tip the server and sushi chefs well.

Edo Sushi is in good company with all the rest of the middle-of-the-road sushi joints in the Baltimore metro area. I’d honestly put it at around 3.5 stars, a bit better than A-OK, but not somewhere I’m running back to. I will give them their props on one thing; the service, especially at the sushi bar. There was a big holiday event going on in Timonium and it seemed that everyone was looking for food at the same time — Edo Sushi was packed. The head chef at the bar made sure that we were kept plied with complementary plates of sliced clams tossed with ponzu and seaweed salad when our order fell behind. Extra tip for that, sir. The sushi was OK. We ate mostly maki, though the ikura with quail egg that I ordered was fresh and briny. The rolls were, as others mention, on the expensive side. Again, they were satisfactory but not particularly impressive. We found ourselves longingly staring at a platter of maguro nigiri waiting to go out to a table. I also wanted some more acidity to the rice — a common complaint I have with sushi restaurants. Oh, and BYOB. This can be a good thing, especially with a liquor store next door. But, I really just wanted to be able to order a beer.

We recently noshed on sushi with friends one Friday night. The place was packed! It took awhile to get our food and the servers seemed a bit frazzled. I have been here for lunch and it has been a much better experience. We started with the fried calamari which was perfectly cooked though overly salty. We ordered tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, and a few other specialty rolls. The rolls tasted good though they didn’t look as good. I think the demanding Friday night crowd may have had an impact of the aesthetics of the sushi this night. I’ll go back since I know they can plate beautiful and tasty sushi. Also, I really like their seaweed salad here.
