Super 8 Motel Lumberton

I would give zero stars if it was an option. Just. Don’t. Do. It. Keep driving a little further, the convenience is not worth it. Dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. First impression? Stained bedsheets & comforter, stained & spackle patched wall, dead bugs in the bathroom & a broken dead bolt. Still, I tried to give it a chance. After lying in bed listening to bugs scuttle around & the riff raff outside for two hours, I was wide awake enough to get back on the road & drive another 2 hours, far, far away from this disgusting hotel. Here’s to hoping I didn’t bring any bedbugs with me.

On a long road trip to Atlanta a friend of mine wanted to stay at a Motel that cost about 60 bucks for the night. We ended up at the «Motel from Hell». On road trips I always use Unilocal,TripAdvisor, and
to get an idea of where to stay but with my friend being very tired from the trip and it being late made a rash decision on this place because of the price. Like I always heard you get what you pay for!! my friend now knows the value of this. And Lumberton will no longer be a stop during my travels.

Stayed here briefly overnight on a long trip from NJ to FL. I got two rooms one for myself (with husband & 3 yr old) and the other for my in laws. Both rooms smelled like smoke, there was dust on fridge and microwave, bathroom was clean though. Fridge was rusted on the inside. Also you can hear the cars from the highway. I didn’t sleep well at all!

My husband and I stopped in with our 7 month old on a long road trip. It was around 8:00 at night and the woman at the front desk didn’t even look like she worked there (not professionally dressed at all). Her attitude was terrible. She was rude and short, and seemed as if she was very angry that she had to be there. We asked for a non-​smoking room, payed for it and went in search of it with our key.
Not only was the room run down and nasty, it reeked of cigarette smoke.
Needless to say, we went back for the desk for a refund which we were given abruptly without a word spoken, not even an apology.
On a different note, the rooms are WAY overpriced for what they are offering. Only good thing about this motel is the location– it is right off of 95.
