La Quinta Inn & Suites Lumberton

We were in town for a funeral. Excellent service. We had originally found a hotel in Beaumont but it was awful we decided to leave and found this La Quinta. Melissa was fantastic and showed us around and allowed us to view the room before committing. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good and fresh. For this area there is not many options and this La Quinta is perfect for quick stay.

Hotel was clean. Everything was in good repair. Breakfast was good for a hotel. Not many other options around here. Would definitely stay again. Bathroom could of been a tad bit cleaner but it was nothing gross. Beds and pillows felt top notch. Other reviewer sounds high maintenance. Complaing about the hallway décor?! Really???

We are always using
and rely heavily on the rating system and reviews they post. The average rating was 9.4. We were let down this time.
Both of my stars are for the staff. The front desk and housekeeping were very polite and accommodating. I arrived downstairs after breakfast was over, but a staff member found me some hot coffee, a pastry and a cup of milk. This was much appreciated.
The lack of stars had to do with the décor and the room itself. The hallways had exterior stucco as texture and the room doors were exterior doors, like at a motel. The paint in the room was dingy, no primer was used so the old color was bleeding through and there were a lot of touch up marks. The bathroom floor was some cheap linoleum contact paper crap, the shower curtain desperately needed to be changed and the windows were filthy. It felt like a $ 49.95 Motel 6.
I will say the AC worked extremely well… I have been in $ 250/​night hotels that couldn’t manage that.
