I wanted to add that they should do something about everyone smoking on the porches
You have to walk in the street to get away from the smoke and when you are doing laundry is is awful as the smoke comes into the laundry matte I know there is a law against smoking so close to a place of business Some of us have serious respiratory issues and its unfair that we have to breath and become ill on someone else’s habits Please do something about it I have been shopping here for years but of late the smoke has been getting worse and worse
Have shopped here for years Like the staff but feel they should be better trained in packing groceries! The food in the deli is very very good but some of the staff (again) can not get orders correct and should be trained more (which is a huge deal when you are made late for work) Very clean Produce is very good Would like to see more vegetarian stuff offered Prices are not cheap but the store is very convenient Laundry Matt is the best I have ever been too though some of the machines are old (very clean though) Would like to see a regular crew in the deli I think there would be less errors! This store likes to bounce their staff around Would more efficient if they did not do that! They have very nice plants that are healthy!

Someone has put some serious thought into this store.
First the inventory:
You can find almost anything here. Garden tools, BBQ’s, Bullets, Basic Clothing, Pool supplies, Fireplaces, Air conditioners, Camping supplies, RV Parts, dirt bike fluids and tubes, Paint, Welding supplies, Construction tools, Groceries, a deli with great food, Plumbing, Electrical, And on and on. If you can’t find what you are looking for just ask. They might even special order it for you!
Second the service:
These people are committed to taking care of their customers. I am constantly in the hardware section asking the guys about how I do this or that?. They always know what I need and tell me how to do it the right way. In the last 6 years of patronizing this store I have yet to be met with an attitude or lack of professionalism. So many businesses could learn from the management here.
The Appearance:
Even though this store is modeled after probably a 1970’s design it is always SPOTLESS. They are constantly cleaning and keeping up on this place in a town that gets dirty quick with all the wind and dust. They even go the extra mile and have a FREE BOXES area for their customers. It is a fenced area where anyone can walk in and take whatever boxes they might need to move or pack stuff away.
Can’t say enough about this place. They deserve the praise.

I enjoy off-​roading in and around the Lucerne Valley area (Johnson Valley specifically) and actually drove past other «modern» stores in Apple Valley to come here to buy some of the last-​minute supplies I needed for my two-​days in the dirt.
Their prices are fair and I think competitive with stores in the city. This is one-​stop shopping at it’s finest! My recent purchases: 12 Gauge Shotgun Shells (got ‘em, price was actually lower than I paid at Big 5 earlier in the week and these came with advice on which ones were best for the type of shooting I was going to be doing) Clay pigeons (they keep them with the ammo, have to ask a staff member but their totally cool people). Firewood (should have bought more, but that’s my fault), Ice (cube or block, it’s there). All sorts of food (part of it is a grocery store) lots of hardware store items (another part of it is a hardware store). This place is like a shinning beacon to an off-​roader who has either broken something or needs some supplies. I mean how many grocery/​hardware stores have an aisle dedicated to motorcycle parts? This one does!
Bonus that the staff is super-​friendly and the prices are fair. The only drawback I’ve seen is that the restrooms are coin-​operated. Not a big thing, but an annoyance.
Plenty of parking for trucks or RV’s with trailers out-​front which is always nice. I wish more places like this existed near where I live!

Whenever I’m off-​roading in Johnson Valley, I always stop here. Yesterday was no different. This place has everything — I mean everything. There’s a full-​on Ace hardware inside, a full line of emergency prep items (including tire chains), deli, grocery, café, even Carhartt jackets and ammunition. The prices were so nice I decided to spend my money there instead of going to my neighborhood store after returning to LA.

Remarkably stocked and spotless gem in Lucerne Valley. Everything from car batteries, pipe fittings, spark plugs, clothes, shoes, pool supplies, snow chains, cake mixes, great meats, super produce, Full service deli, soft serve ice cream, check cashing, bill paying… A real general store with everything you could possibly need, and if they do not have it, they will probably order it in for you in a timely manner. Quite a feat keeping this store afloat in hard times. The owners are special people. This store has «saved» me many many times with all that they keep on the shelves.
