Awesome place to come skate and relive some childhood memories. Our biggest issue was finding it since we were from out of town and were depending on the Unilocal directions. It’s the wrong address. The actual address is 4701 W Loop 289, Lubbock, TX

The hours and prices are different than it says online. 2:00 — 4:30 during the Friday we came at $ 6 a skater w/skate rental. But there’s plenty of space and a really nice old gentleman running the place. Retro-fun!

I have good memories of skating as a kid. But the music played is one step short of pornographic. I know you play whats popular, but really? Is this what you would want your kids to listen to? Iggy Azalea — Fancy«feels so good, getting what I want… Chandelier swinging I don’t give a F***» Jason Derulo — Wiggle«I want to penetrate you, separate you, take it out and feed it to you» Mad Cobra — Flex«Crying, moaning, work you till the morning, Spread your feet,» I’m a freedom loving adult, so I’ll vote with my money and not come back. If this is what you expose your kids to then feel free.

This is an old roller skating ring from god know when, my guess is the 70’s but probably even before that. It’s not modern and it’s not fancy. The rink floor is waxed cement and if you fall it will hurt, a lot. The old gentleman who runs the place has probably been there since it’s inception. I’m betting this place is a Lubbock institution. Worth checking out for sure!
