Taco Tuesday is the best . wait times are a little long but worth it. Parking is a train wreck, but again worth it

Is this the place you go to for Mexican food? Because I don’t. The food is not that great and sometimes it’s overcooked. It’s nowhere near authentic and the environment is always filthy.

I had much hesitation in trying this chain. The reviews on Unilocal kept claiming this restaurant was average Tex Mex. I still don’t know what kind of food that really is because I am not from Texas. This location is the most crowded of the 3 locations I’ve been to in town but the service and décor are the best. They really know how to take food orders quickly and get orders out in record time. I usually get the beef or chicken taco plate on Tuesdays, the enchilada or the tamale plate. I love the fresh tortillas. I rarely finish an entire combo plate in one meal. I finally tried the chocolate cake. I took it home and ate it with vanilla ice cream. It is just as tasty and moist as it looks. The green salsa is my favorite flavor in salsa. The red mild salsa is ok. I make red mild salsa at home, so I may be more selective about the flavor than other people. There is an oily texture in their red salsa that I have never seen at other restaurants. The spicy factor in their salsas varies by each day. I only gave this location 4 stars because on(Taco) Tuesdays it gets extremely crowded at the pick-up counter. There is nowhere to stand and wait, so the to-go customers and people at the salsa bar create a huge congestion cutting off the second half of the restaurant. It can get crazy. Also, on a busy day(I’m assuming pay day) the line will be to the front door and good luck finding an open table. Tips: If you like lots of salsa, order take-out inside the restaurant. It goes just as fast but you can choose your own portions of salsa, limes and cilantro. To avoid the Tuesday crowds, get your lunch before noon or your dinner by 6PM.

Taco Tuesday is awesome. They have raised the prices a little, as others have to. For value wise on Tuesdays its awesome. Not on Tuesday personally think other places in town are better value for regular price.

We always come to this Rosas. Today we only had $ 12 but got a lot of food. Bought the 3 tamales, then got the combination nachos-they are huge. And ½ a dozen tortillas. Man that was a lot for the price. The cashier was a little unfriendly but the restaurant was clean and food was great!

I really love Rosas in general, but this one is always such a disappointment. I hate that it’s the closest to our house. When we ask for sour cream, guac, or whatever added on our food, it always comes on the side. We always try to double check our order in the drive through, because 95% of the time they forget something! I really do love Rosa’s but this one needs a lot of improvement.

My family and I visit Rosas every Thursday for family dinners. When I was a college student we would have Rosas every Sunday and then again on Taco Tuesday. For inexpensive text mex Rosas is good. Their tortillas are great. Always fresh and warm.

NOSTARS. As I was entering the ladies room an employee was leaving the stall wearing gloves. She then proceeded to pretend to wash her hands. I was exiting the stall as she was leaving. Her gloves were not wet and the paper towel machine did not go off. Needless to say we left without eating. Lucky for her I did not get her name. *I was forced to give one star because of the app.

Rosa’s is one of a kind. With a drive through and order at the counter casual style but delicious and fresh food items it’s hard not to find something you like. One of my go to orders is a number 3 Mexican dinner. It comes with a cheese enchilada and beef crunchy taco. You can make changes to the kind of enchilada or taco at no charge. It also comes with rice and beans and a side of fresh hand made tortillas. One thing I always try not to get but can’t help myself is a small side of queso. It js so good with the tortillas! I also regularly end up ordering sopapillas too. I love that they will let you order them with you meal and specify that you will pick them up after your meal. All you do if bring your ticket to the counter and they will make them fresh for you then, ready within a couple of minutes and perfectly warm! Mmmmmmm. Last time the nice gentleman doubled my order from 4 to 8 at no charge! That was a pleasant surprise! The staff here is always friendly and accommodating. It is clean and well taken care of. The fresh salsa bar is always clean and never looks disheveled which I know takes serious effort because people are rummaging around at it all day long. The new electronic menus look so great also! Rosas is movin in up!

I’m really tired of fast food places and sloppiness when it comes to orders. Today I got no silverware for a meal that I was going to eat at my office AND no hot sauce. I love Rosa’s, but am unhappy with these two oversights.

I paid $ 10 for beef fajita nachos and received 3 baby pieces of meat. That is ridiculous. If I wanted chips, beans, cheese and jalapeños I would have made them at home.

So in the last couple of months I have tried Rosas again several times in Midland. I must say I am glad I did. The previous experience in Lubbock must have been a fluke. Rosas food is very good, fast and reasonably priced. I have gone 6 or 8 times and have been very happy each time. Their tortillas are really excellent. Soft and fluffy and obviously not from a package. Thank You Rosa!

I like that it has the Mexican sit down restaurant flavor with the convenience of a fast food restaurant. The best of both worlds.

The enchilada sauce was quite tasty. The ground beef was flavorful. The crisp tortilla shells were fresh. The soft tortilla shells alone made it worth coming here. First time here and wishing they had chips to munch while waiting for entrees. Food was quick. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes on top of everything. Will definitely return.

I would say this place is just ok. Slightly better than the other fast food options but their food certainly does not ‘wow’ you. Before I go to the negatives, I must say that I liked their fresh tortillas. They taste a lot better than store-bought ones and I would say that was probably the best part of the meal. Now the negatives — I ordered chicken fajita. The chicken was ok — it did not have layer of flavors but not that awful. It seems that people are encouraged to use the salsa bar to adjust the flavor but the salsa I tastes from the salsa bar tasted very boring. All I tasted was just the ingredients I see visually. Not much spice, flavor, etc. So, boring chicken plus boring salsa didn’t really improve the overall chicken flavor. But again, I should not expect much from a chain restaurant that is a little above Taco Bell and such. I would have liked that they work on the flavor of salsa a little more.

The best thing about Rosa’s is their huge cups of fresh iced tea, and their chocolate cake. OH – and their fresh guacamole(it’s loaded with onions!) But their iced tea really is fresh. And sharp. And you can get it at the drive-up window for the same price as a soda — and get it sweet or unsweetened in a huge 32oz foam cup that will stay cold on the hottest of Texas days. And you can get lemon or lime wedges with it to squeeze in(but unless you ask for the lemons/limes on the side — they’ll put them in the cup and they sink before you can squeeze them…) Their ice is crushed and slushy, too. I know — it’s a Tex-Mex café — and the food is good. But the tea is what everybody survives on in the heat of summer. It’s better than any other drive-thru in Texas for that most basic of drinks. They’ve expanded the chain to many cities, these days — but it’s still the iced tea that keeps them(and their customers) afloat.

Rosa’s is Mexican fast food. Walk in, order at the cash register, take your number, and wait for that number to be called. The freshly made soft tortillas are definitely the highlight of any meal at Rosa’s. They’re awesome, no arguing that. The food itself is always decent but never great. My biggest complaint is that the food really isn’t very cheap. For fast food, it can creep into the $ 7−8+ range. At that point I’d rather just go to a real restaurant.

Did the drive thru Saturday 9Apr11 at 7:15PM and the boy at the window was very RUDE! The total was $ 15.41. I gave him a ten a five a quarter two dimes and a penny. Forty six cents and I should have got a $.05 in change. He gave me $.14 back and was slamming the window after giving us two large drinks that had coke and tea running down the sides and my wife complained. I also asked for TWO hot sauces and only got one. Bottom line is that they have RUDE people working and people who can not count or give you your order COMPLETE! After writing this review I called and asked to speak to the manager, April, who said she was sorry and the next time I came back she would give me a 10% DISCOUNT. She can keep her 10% and I will just spend my money elsewhere, Maybe at the Wildfire Burger Grille west a few blocks on 50th where the old Home Plate Diner was(when it opens).

Rosa’s used to be the spot when I was in high school. It’s fast food that doesn’t taste as fake as Taco Bell or McDonalds. I took my girlfriend here for lunch during a visit to Lubbock. The Good: The tortillas are like eating clouds of happiness and unicorns. They’re so good you’ll even want to eat them on their own. The food is pretty cheap and tastes decent. It’s a step up from Taco Villa and Lone Wolf. The chips and salsa bar are great. There are so many different kinds of salsa. The cheese dip is great. The Bad: The meat was pretty bland. It’s easily jazzed up with something from the salsa bar, though. Overall: If you’re looking to eat healthy or light, this isn’t the place. If you want Mexican fast food that doesn’t taste like it was simply heated up out of a package, check out Rosa’s. They would’ve gotten 4 stars, but the burritos were quite small. Beware of the tortillas. They’re so good you’ll binge.
