Amazing customer service and great calm environment. We came from Houston to Lubbock for an ironman race and this place even had some stinger waffles, they also have Chinese herbs pills.

I’ve gone through the drive thru numerous times, and have been inside twice. Just left there after hanging out with my husband for an hour. Love the gluten free options and the caramel delight. The staff is great and lots of fun. Great atmosphere. We will be coming back. See y’all soon!

I am sitting in Healthy Essentials right now with a salad wrap that was supposed to come with a pickle but didn’t. Which doesn’t bother me but what DOES bother me is the fact that I am too nervous to go up and ask the girl at the counter for a pickle because I’m afraid she may curse at me and throw me out.
Seriously.
I will not go ask for my pickle because I’m scared she will yell at me.
I chose the first kombucha I looked at without even judging if I really wanted it or not because I didn’t want to hold her up and I panicked.
I am not typically easily intimidated but there is just something about the Healthy Essential girls (pretty much ever one that I’ve encountered here) that make me feel like I’m a burden to them the second I walk in through the door. I do want to reiterate that I am only referring to the girls that work here because one time on a Tuesday there was a really nice guy working here who was super helpful and kind, I don’t remember his name but I remember his kindness, he was great.
I come here because I mostly eat Paleo and they have some good Paleo options like their chicken nuggets but I’m starting to consider if I should just start going to freaking Chick Fil A for my chicken nuggets because at Chick Fil A, everyone is happy and nice and they greet you kindly, and give you a warm smile, and say things like «my pleasure!» and maybe I’ll walk away from Chick Fil A with a few hundred extra calories in me, a little more inflammation, etc. but at least I’ll feel loved.
I’ve never written a negative Unilocal review before but I’m doing this with the hope that Healthy Essentials will see this and perhaps work on adjusting their attitude. All it takes is a warm smile and a little bit of kindness!
And ok, I am a little bit upset about not getting a pickle.

I love that this place is always quiet and clean. It’s such a great atmosphere and the food is pretty cheap. The owner (I suspect) gives the best customer service, but the rest of the staff can be a bit snippy. They offer paleo specials every day, and you can basically edit any order to your liking. My favorite is chicken salad (they put cholula in it!) on a bed of greens. It’s only $ 4! I have the green chile chicken soup, but I don’t recommend it… I like it, but I don’t love it.

I have been here for lunch three times and am still searching for my go-​to order. I’ve had two mediocre and one less than desirable experience. The smoothies, however, are the best I’ve bought in Lubbock. I haven’t had the opportunity to try breakfast but I’m hopeful it’s better than lunch. I will update if I am swayed by later visits.

As much as I really wanted to like this place, I have to give it 1 star. My first visit was fine as I just ordered a smoothie to go; however, the cashier had terrible customer service and acted put out to do her job. Upon my second visit, I was unfortunately at the mercy of the same cashier, who acted put out once again. Several minutes after ordering, I noticed the other worker sitting on the countertop playing on her phone. When the cashier asked if she made our food, she looked up, said «no» and begrudgingly went back to the kitchen. Several more minutes later, we noticed very little movement in the kitchen but a lot of conversation between the 3 workers. My husband and I were the ONLY customers needing an order as the only other customer had already been served. So, 3 workers for 2 customers and it took way too long to make us very simple sandwiches – nothing that had to be cooked. Also, my sandwich was $ 9 and pretty small for the pricing. The next customer arrived and, although they acknowledged her, nobody greeted her and took her order until she had been standing there for at least 2 minutes — ridiculous. There are very few healthy cafes in Lubbock and, unfortunately, my list just got shorter.

This place has very good food and smoothies for very reasonable prices. The service is either very friendly or nom existent. Sometimes they will be prompt and friendly other times it will take a long time before they even acknowledge that you are there. Turkey avacodo wrap is very good and so are there almond butter cookies.

I love the Harvest Salad and Turkey Avocado Wrap. The food here is always fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to eat a little healthier.

So glad to find this place! Coming from our of town we were looking for something cozy and heathy and found it here!

Wonderful gem with friendly staff, great smoothies and great oatmeal. Great way to start your day. Clean and ample parking as well

Apparently this restaurant has been in Lubbock for years. I didn’t hear about it until recently.
They have an assortment of healthy lunch options, including: salads, sandwiches, wraps, soups, and paleo meals. There are only a handful of healthy shops around Lubbock, so it’s nice to have this option now.
They also sell different health items. They have vitamins, super-​foods, and such.

Love this store.
They have locally roasted coffee, yummy and organic drinks and foods, all your supplements, and they sell locally produced organic eggs for super reasonable prices!

Awesome place. One place that you can get great coffee, smoothies, food, pastries. A nutrition store by trade that has expanded to meet all desires of those who seek the healthy lifestyle.
