Eh, Hot Shots could be better. When we went here, there were a lot of ‘regulars’(aka not pros and not newbies) that played Paintball. That’s wrong with that? They cheated like crazy. A few of them started wiping there mask to avoid being out and have to wait for the next game/round. It caused the game to suck, and caused me not to go to this field anymore. Staff does nothing to prevent cheating. Now imagine if those players played Airsoft; they wouldn’t call if they got hit or not. What happen with the cheater? — Well second to last round we played. Everyone on my team got out… Except me and the cheater was left on his team as well. He thought he won so he headed to the waiting area for his team. I guess he forgot to count, I sneaked my way up(I’m skinny so I got behind the bunkers pretty well) on his side and I shot him in the back. We won the round. He got so mad, he said«I’m going to get you next round and every other game you play» and all his friends started to laugh at him. Probably the best way to end the round and to set a cheater in place. What should they do? — They should put a undercover employee on the field pretending to be a player and ban players /kick players from there private property who cheat. These undercover employees should be regularly switched to avoid the players cover being blown. Other than that, the field is great for party’s but only if you play with other party members… Just to avoid cheaters.

As a ‘veteran’ paintballer returning to the scene, I’m happy to have Hotshots in the area. I travel about 30 minutes or so to get here, almost every Saturday, so you can say that I like the place. Here’s the perspective from someone that is bringing their own equipment and not renting: — $ 20 gets you the wristband(play all day) and free air refills. — $ 65 gets you a box of 2000 paintballs; 500 in each bag in the box. — The fields are relatively in good condition(paintballer, not an airsoft player, so I haven’t gone on the airsoft-only fields.) Cons: — Restrooms don’t always have paper in them. I was stuck in a bathroom without paper once… had to have my boyfriend stop at a store to buy toilet paper and bring it in to me. Yes, it’s embarrassing for ME, but the business needs to keep an eye out on that. — The fields stink. The broken up paint that overlays and sits in the sun all day conjures up a really nasty smell. I can deal with it, but it’s really noticeable and seems unsanitary. In terms of the staff, I’ve had minimal interaction with them. I read other reviews saying some of them are ‘rude’ or whatnot, but considering I’m not at the counter renting equipment, I have no idea how they act. It seems like the ‘refs’ are generally nice, younger folks; I see them herding groups of kids through fields with ease. If anything changes, I’ll update my review accordingly. For now, Hotshots is pretty solid and I’m happy to recommend them to anyone wanting to try out paintball, or to get back out there and play.

It’s dirty, over priced, and one of the referees is huge douche bag. That being said If you get a good ref and don’t let the littering bother you it actually is really fun. They only let you use their paintballs though which is a ripoff.

I went here with a group of nine for a great start to the weekend. There were more than enough fields for us to choose from and each utilizing specific strategies and skills. We played on a total of five and each offered a different dynamic for your team as well as Individual playing strategy. Our ref Christian was excellent! He was friendly, helpful, accommodating and personable guide. We also appreciated him helping us form even teams by providing an extra player! Overall, it was a fun time even in the sweltering south Florida heat. If you aren’t scared of a little sweat, welts and paint then Hot Shots is the place for you!

Lots of people complain about the staff, which is not surprising. The older man that appears to be manager or owner, clearly hates his job. It seems he would rather be anywhere else than at a paintball place. The girl behind the counter was perfectly nice and talkative to me, but I heard people say otherwise. The guy filling CO2 takes was nice enough. The refs on the field were quieter than I would have expected them to be, so basically it is anything goes, since they don’t really give direction. Also, there were not refs on all fields. The best part about it, was we were able to bounce from field to field and have entire field to ourselves each time if we wanted to. Everyone had a fun time and no injuries aside from a few expected welts and black & blues. I would recommend they add more trash cans around fields and have staff pick up trash. There were lots if discarded paintball boxes strewn around. Overall a fun time without much in way of restrictions.

I had a very difficult time trying to reconcile the fact that the owner was either(a) the biggest douchebag ever to walk the earth, or(b) he was just f*cking with us every time he said something to offend a member of my group, and he just kept forgetting to say«just kiddin’». Never before have I been greeted with such douche-baggery. He seemed like such a nice guy on the phone and in the e-mails, but it was pretty obvious that he didn’t want us there. As for that b*tch at the front desk that all the other Unilocalers mentioned in their reviews, I simply avoided her. And, yes, she really is as bad as all the other reviewers have stated. It’s been approximately seven months since visiting this place, and I still feel compelled to post this review. I hate posting negative reviews. The only reason this venue gets any stars at all are(1) Unilocal won’t let me post a «zero-star» review, and(2) John, the guide assigned to our group, was awesome. The fields are all uninspired and provide very little in terms of variety.

The old guy behind the counter(I’m guessing the owner) is rude to everyone. Had a large group in there a few weeks ago and he wouldnt stop complaining about us not calling to make reservations even know we did awhile back. They were out of compressed air and c02 so they would only fill the tanks half way and filled them warm instead of cold. The referees weren’t bad. They were nice and observant. The facility looks like crap. Old couches that look liked they’ve been pulled out of dumpsters and no a/c inside to cool off. The bathrooms looked like hell to.

Very nice open place. We went 15 people and had lot of funnnnnn. It’s better to go in day time rather than eve. The lights block the view during dark. I would definitely recommend the place. The staff is also very friendly and cool.

I has the best time today! Bought two groupons and only had two people to go with me. Instead of it going to waste they gave me a full up on my gun. The mask were a little moist and smelly but hey that’s part of the game. It wasn’t to busy we went around one, played conservative for two hours. Had a blast though, make sure to play with yours friends. They can’t get made if you get to close. Had some gnarly bruises but once again it’s all part of the game! A lot of kids around! I feel like bringing your kids to paintball place isn’t really a eight year olds kinda party. I am 18 and I look beat up! So please don’t be that guy where I am constantly watching out to see if I am going to shot from some young kids in the bushes! They don’t really separate the bb players from paintball so beware and keep your mask on while in the battle zone! I had a great time would totally go again. Cannot beat using a groupons! $ 36 for two people two hours and two hundred balls! The staff was nice to me and my friends. Couldn’t complain about that, bring water and maybe a crappy towel to wipe the paint of your glasses.

first time for most of this 10 – 11 year old group. friend bought a groupon and had a party. assigned 2 young refs that were amazing and patient and helpful so the boys could learn to like the game and not get disappointed if they got shot/out. paint balls filled with a fish oil base paint and they are greasy as opposed to painty thick and gross. kids didn’t mind but they do hurt and leave a bruise if shot at close range. these refs took boys onto 4 different fields in a course of 3 hours. clubhouse is gross, what did I expect? boys had the best time and I recommend going in a group. people left bad reciews but I do not agree with them. maybe masks were gross. y kid got a super shower at home. go on a cooler day. layer up and bring water and more $$ for a $ 58 dollar box of ammo. you will run out. great place. I think that 9 or 10 or 11 is a good age to start. younger may not get max experience. this place rocks. oh, they offer chest guards but only for girls!!! I was a bit disappointed. my son is tiny… but he didn’t get nailed and had an awesome day!!!

Huge paintball fields, lots of supervision… kids love it! Something for every skill level, lots of fields, decent prices and most importantly, my son and his friends always ask to go back. They have tried other places but swear by the diversity of the paintball fields and the friendliness of the staff. They do a good job with birthday parties and while very popular with the hard core enthusiast, they make the time to make even the novice player comfortable. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

I give this place zero stars. Very unorganized, unsanitary and unprofessional staff. We paid just under $ 100 here. And got kicked out of every field we played on so other groups can play. The masks were soaking wet and sour. They say they clean them all the time but really they dip it in sweat water they keep in buckets on the side of the building. Not worth the money. For as much as it costs I’d think they would try to make it a great experience.

THISPLACEISBEYONDAWESOME! My boyfriend and I had no idea what to expect or what to wear, especially because we were going to dinner afterwards. All we knew was that we were going to get dirty and hurt. Lol. We put on our worse clothes and got ready to get down! The place was really cool. They had miniature golf too, but who the heck wants to play that when u can shoot ppl with paintball guns! They gave the ladies chest protectors(thank God). Then men were crying for one. Lol. One we were given the instructions and safety instructions we were ready to go to war on the field. We had two teams. I was on the losing team 3x. Grrrrrr. Lol. I must say, I thought being shot was going to be very painful. Let’s just say… it’s so much fun you don’t even realize it! I’m sporting my war wound bruises with pride! Why didn’t I ever think of this place before!
