Try another company! We purchased the Mitsubishi Mr. Slim heating/air conditioner for a commercial business. The unit stooped peforming properly at 10 months. The technician from Jonas and said we needed a part which took a week to arrive. When another technician came back to put in the part he said it did not need a part but the problem was on the part of Jonas because they did something incorrectly in the installation! We made an appointment for the annual service. We waited all day but no one showed up. Called and spoke with John. He said someone SHOULD have called us to cancel but he was sorry no one did. Explained it was quite a job for us to move the store items in order for them to come not to mention the day is wasted. After all we just did that two months ago for the repair! Their customer service and John’s attitude are extremely unprofessional. We will look for another company to service our three units. Too bad; this used to be an outstanding company with an impeccable reputation.

My AC went out on Friday night after working perfectly up until then. Struck me as an electrical connection issue and I call Jonas, who I have had a good experience with previously. Their tech diagnosed, amongst other things, that my system was low on freon. Sounded odd due to the sudden nature of the problem and my prior experience with systems that are low on freon. The onset of failure is usually not as sudden. My furnace, fully loaded by the factory takes 5.8lb of freon. I asked the tech what gauge reading would indicate that the system is full. He told me what the number should be. He added 3 lb of freon and got cold feet. We were both watching his gauge and the thing never moved. I suspect the system did not need any freon at all. The same guy diagnosed that my circuit board is bad preventing the fan from turning on. Consequently he jumped a capacitor that he diagnosed as bad. That made the fan come on permanently. What stood between me and a working AC was the last problem, a corroded breaker. I replaced the breaker the following day but my problem persisted. Had a second(different) guy from Jonas come out during regular business hours. He diagnosed and fixed the problem: A loose wire and a blown fuse on the circuit board. Price tag of the first visit: $ 469, — Price tag of the second visit: $ 138, — The first guy did not do anything but to sell me freon that I probably did not need. The low rating of the company is weighted towards the first guy. The second guy really gets five stars. However, when the company cannot shield a customer from one of their employees running up horrific bills without providing results, no after-hour disclaimer can serve to make me particularly happy about that. If the company cannot get competent employees to take call, then we have a management problem.

unbelievable service – 10 stars-they repaired my mother in laws AC and saved her $ 12,000 – no kidding – another firm gave her an estimate of $ 12,ooo !!! Ed at Jonas was wonderful – I highly recommend them !!!

Seven years ago I got an estimate for these guys to install a Mitsubishi split system in a weekend house I built. I installed a pellet stove in the interim. I wanted AC/heat in the house and contacted them to see if they could do it. Amazingly, they had the original estimate and came out to verify the job. The man who came out remembered the house. They did the job for substantially less than the original estimate. They called to give me a date, showed up on time and did the install in less than a day! The two men doing the job were professional and courteous. The system was explained to me and it worked flawlessly. It is quiet and efficient, even better than I had hoped! I would recommend this company to anyone for the exceptional level of service that they provided! Job well done, Jonas!

I called Jonas for a heater repair on my rental in Clearlake. They said the service call would be $ 127.00 I said OK, they went right out to the rental, the tenant called me and told me the heater tech said it was a bad Thermostat and for an additional $ 225.oo they could change it! I said NOWAY would take care of it. anyways they got there 127.00 for the service call. that weekend my husband and I went to the rental and discovered the switch on the back of the thermostat was clicked to Off, we had already had a new one with us so my husband changed it out. I was angry so I called Jonas and explained what had happen, the woman took my info and asked the the job address so they would know what tech went out, I gave her that info, she said she would have a manager call me back on Monday,(this was Saturday) no one ever called. I will NEVER use this company again, I feel they are way out of line with the prices as well as they can not be trusted. BADEXPERIENCEWITHTHEMANDWOULDNEVERUSETHEMAGAIN.
