Great spot — great food — bartenders are friendly and very helpful waitresses. Great atmosphere that is very comfortable

No stars. Asked for an Arnold Palmer and when it got to me, I noticed some stuff floating in it but chalked it up to leaves from fresh brewed tea. As soon as it hit my tongue I immediately gagged. They were GIANTGLOBSOFMOLD!!! Black and green and absolutely disgusting. After getting sick in their bathroom, I brought it to the bar tender’s attention. «Oh, sorry…» No real apology or attempt to make the situation ok. I’ll never be back and urge anyone to double check their food and drink if they decide to chance it.

Great bar environment with a good selection of drinks. I’ve been twice because the service and environment makes the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately there are little to no vegetarian options food-wise, limiting my choices. I’d definitely go again for drinks, but would have to grab food elsewhere beforehand.

Not long ago I craved for a burger. Lowell has a thing that it does not feature a local«to go» burger spot. So I did what any normal person with access to a college radio does, I run a contest asking the locals for the best Lowell Burger. The old court won, specifically its Rebel burger did. I had to have it. It clearly delivers and it is up there with greats and it is understandable why it was voted so high. I have explored some other options in the menu and they are pretty good too. Many beers on tap and if you like something like a Guinness, this is your place.

It was my first time going to The Old Court with an old friend and we both enjoyed the atmosphere/vibe. It’s definitely a place to hang out and grab some drinks. I ordered the fish & chips and was pretty surprised how well it tasted. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Nearly perfect Guinness pours here. Place was jamming on a Friday night but not overwhelming. Waitstaff was on their game and not missing a beat. Definitely a must when in Lowell.

Decent spot to grab a drink with a few friends. Bartenders are attentive and drinks are on the inexpensive side for the most part.

We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly. My wife had a salad and I really liked my haddock sandwich. Exactly what we wanted for a quick lunch and would be a great place to hang out if we were local.

This is a classic Irish Bar. It’s definitely not a place for kids — no kids menu. They have a decent beer list. The food is okay — solid. We had good service. Good spot.

Pretty chill bar, very very East Coast New England vibe thats for sure. There was a great Ginger beer that you must try!!! I came home and got some ginger beer but it probably isn’t as great as the one I got that night I was in Lowell, MA. And my first time having shepherds pie and it was delish!

Good spot to catch up with friends. You’ll probably run into old classmates from Lowell High and UML here. It’s usually not too too loud there. They pour Guinness correctly here. And I did not know that actually serve food here.

Best place in downtown Lowell for a Guinness. good place for both family and friends. It’s my first time here and do see myself returning. I had the Ruben sandwich which was very tasty. Didn’t give five starts cause only two TV’s.

There’s definitely a very Irish feeling to this place. From the drinks, to the décor, to the music, to the regulars… the Old Court feels like Ireland(at least to those of us who haven’t seen the real deal). This is a great place to meet up with a few co-workers at happy hour. The food menu is pretty good and the drinks are very reasonably priced. It can get pretty crowded(and pretty loud) on a Friday night. I give it the stars merely out of personal preference… I’m not always in the mood for an Irish pub. But, most times I’ve been there I’ve enjoyed myself. So, give it a try next time you’re craving a point of Guinness.

Pretty stereotypical Irish pub. Nothing on draft is too special or obscure, just the standard Guinness and whatnot. On the weekends it gets pretty packed if you’re looking for a good crowd and some Jameson.

Got the Rebel Burger, which comes with corned beef, bacon and a fried egg. All the flavors combined so perfectly, and they nailed the corned beef-to-burger ratio so that neither took over. Potato skins were so-so, but the burger more than made up for it. Washed it all down with the best Guinness pour I’ve seen in three years of living in Massachusetts. Can’t wait to go back.

Three and a half stars sounds fair for the Old Court. The service is great and they pour a top notch Guiness. We go in for lunch quite often, and although the menu is limited they do a great burger, sandwiches, soups, salads etc. Nice little Irish bar; gets crowded on the weekends, but it’s one of the better spots in town.

Nice Irish bar, even both our bartenders were Irish. The shepherds’ pie was unlike any other one I’ve ever had. Very good but not the typical casserole most places have. I will be back

It’s been ages since I ate in a bar. It was a cold day between Christmas and New Years, things were slow in office, there was only 3 of us in my department in office and the old timer suggested we come here for lunch which has been one of his favorite for 10+ years. The bar was half full and the waitress seems to know most of them. The bar tender and one waitress were very efficient and kept everyone happy. I ordered that day’s special Irish Cowboy. The roasted beef were tender, flavorful but not salty. Hand cut fries were hot and crispy. One colleague ordered the Turkey burger, and the other ordered Buffalo Chicken Tenders. The turkey burger looks to be very juicy, and I tried a share of the chicken tender with hot sauce on the side, very tender and juicy, far better than the fast food chain’s chicken tender.

so, I came here on a Sunday night. ALL by myself. I wanted to see what was going in Lowell. What I learned was.. .NOTHING! place is pretty much dead.. .on a Sunday. I was the out of Towner, looking for something to do! As I walked in there was the awesome bartender and 3 other guys. I walk to the bar and order my usual, crown and coke. I had a small conversation with the bartender. He was very informative. As, the night grew on, others came in for a drink or two. The place had abt 15 ppl. I felt out of place, due to how I was dressed. I’ve learned MA ppl don’t dress up @ all when they go out. So my dressing down was a sundress and flats. Choppin’ it up with the locals, the night began to happen. Everyone was really friendly. Lowell, MA downtown is very quaint and small.. .ohhh and the cobblestone roads, blahhh. Other than that, I actually had a blast! oh yahhh very cheap drinks! my crown and coke was $ 7! :)
