My small family made a big move this year and, after doing a bunch of DIY moves, decided to hire movers for the first time. We went with NorthAmerican because they offered a decent price and no hidden fees, and they contracted Sterling to handle our move; I think we got really lucky. These guys handled a cross-country move from Kansas to Maryland with ease. The team was professional and efficient. I couldn’t ask for better service, especially since they got stuck moving our stuff out in the pouring rain in Kansas. Went from a third floor apartment to a third floor apartment with no trouble at all. The best part? Our stuff left Kansas on Friday afternoon and arrived in Maryland on Monday morning. NorthAmerican customer service gave us a window during which the truck would arrive, which was about a week after pickup. We were amazed they arrived so quickly! The guys were personable, all of our stuff arrived in excellent condition, and all in all, the move was worth every penny and then some because of the minimal hassle. If you’re moving locally and you have an opportunity to hire Sterling, I would highly recommend them. If you’re doing a cross-country move with a big company, I hope you get lucky like we did!

The company was very thoughtful in scheduling our move and deliver to accomodate our travel plans. Furthermore, our driver Dan and his team did an amazing job packing our things in San Diego and unpacking them in Somerville. Not a single thing was broken or hurt during the move. Also, Dan and his team on both ends were a pleasure to work with and we’d recommend him and your company to anyone doing a move in the future. The only issue we had is that we ended up having to get a shuttle to and from each of our apartments which added an extra cost to our move that was not in our original estimate. But they were upfront about the possibility of this extra charge, so this wasn’t a big deal.
