Always nice service and such yummy food. Decent prices — just please update menu online because coupons are outdated. Pizzas are awesome!

My favorite Pizza in the Lowell area so far… I’ve tried about every pizza place in the greater Lowell area. The pizza tastes like pizza and not pizza topping spread over cardboard.

The pizza and apps we got were mostly great. My only complaint was that there was a crazy amount of flour on the bottom of the pizza that really detracted from the taste. Maybe it was a fluke one time thing, but it would’ve tasted much better if they eased up on that flour.

Best is the Cherry Bomb! Named not because of the fruit but the kick it has — grilled chicken with jalapeño peppers, onions, American cheese. Take out experience has been good past few times… had a few bad experiences prior such as waiting 90 minutes for driver only to find his car broke down but when I drove to pick it up, they refused any discount or anything extra. Another time they brought the wrong order. Pizza needs improvement. Hopefully things are getting better. Not –so-new owners are friendly but atmosphere not welcoming. Location is tough for parking and driving in and out of.

My husband and I love Rosso’s and order from them frequently. We’ve gotten Pizza, subs, chicken tenders, salads and mozzarella sticks and have been happy with each. My favorite pizza is the margarita– nice, fresh tomato with chopped basil and yummy cheese. My husband likes the Rosso’s special because it’s pretty manly. The crust is always soft and chewy too.

I ordered from Rosso’s very recently, while I was heading back to NH from Lowell. They have a good menu, which offers Italian style thin crust pizza, subs, wraps, pockets, salads, appetizers, pasta dishes, seafood dinners, chicken, steak tips, and cold drinks from the cooler. The prices here are reasonable and specialty pizzas are $ 9.99(12″) and $ 14.99(16″) and there are coupon specials on their printed menus. The place is very casual, an order at the counter place with big menu board on the wall, rows of hard booths and a TV in the dining area. I ordered a 12″ Rosso’s Special Pizza($ 9.99 plus tax), which was all set and ready in 15 minutes after ordering. The Rosso’s Special was a solid good choice and very tasty. The pizza was topped with a good amount of toppings including sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions, pizza sauce, and mozzarella cheese. The thin crust had a good flavor, which had a firm and chewy texture along the edges and the bottom crust(screen pattern/baked in a conventional oven) sagged a bit from the weight of the toppings, folding each slice. I would definitely stop in here again for another specialty pizza. The Lasagna pizza sounds very good!

I discovered Rosso’s when looking for a different pizza joint in the Lowell area because I was getting sick of the usual places. After the first order, my fiancée and I were hooked on this place. They’ve got great pizza… seriously MUCH better than most in this area. The subs I’ve had have been pretty good. The one time I had pasta my fiancée accidentally ordered me one with alfredo, which I like as well, but the pasta dish came swimming in «homemade» alfredo sauce. Literally, it was like a thick soup with pasta in it. Kind of gross. Overall though, their food is very good. On the food alone I probably would have given the place four stars, but the service is another story altogether. I’ve only had delivery, so my experience with them is on the phone and with the delivery person. The first time I ordered, I paid over the phone with my card. When the driver arrived, he had no idea that I’d paid already and didn’t have the slip for me to sign. So he asked me to just sign the back of the order receipt(not the CC slip), though he also had no pen. So I went in the house to rummage around for a few dollars for a tip, and a pen and just signed the receipt. I figured it was a harmless mistake so whatever. Now I’ve ordered somewhere between 10 – 20 times by now, and I’d say about 60% of the time there’s a mistake with the order, and about 80% of the time they don’t have the slip to sign. Two recent orders are good examples. One of them we ordered a couple of subs and fries. My girl’s sub was completely wrong, she ordered a chicken parm and got a cheese steak. Now, I don’t eat meat and she doesn’t eat red meat, so neither of us wanted it. So she called back and told them, and she was on the phone for five minutes or so before she came and told me they were giving her a hard time, so I got on the phone and eventually got them to bring the right sub. Totally unacceptable. And neither time did they bring the credit card slip to sign. On another recent order, they forgot to put ANY toppings on the pizza. They also forgot the slip so I didn’t see what I was paying for. I called and told them I got the pizza with no toppings, and didn’t care about getting a replacement, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t charged for toppings. I was told it was the cook’s fault and that I was charged for toppings, but that they’d take the charge off for me. I found days later when looking at my bank statement that they did not take the charges off, so I paid like $ 7 more for the wrong pizza. If it weren’t for their constant mistakes they would get a better rating/review.

I have tried this place more then three times trying to find something that tasted good. I can describe the food this way pizza+greasy+ deep fried the same. I just couldn’t stand the flavor of the rest.

Let me start off by saying that I am new to Lowell. As a new resident, hungry on a Friday night, tired from a long day, and not wanting to cook, I turned to my fellow Unilocalers to give me an idea of what’s good in the area. Going by the reviews for Italian delivery, I chose Rosso’s since it stacked up among the best. Man, I wish I had not. I never write a review right after trying anything. I give it time to marinate. However, after a few bites of my food from Rosso’s, I put down the fork and headed over to my computer. I ordered an eggplant parm sub and the cheese lasagna(yeah, carbo load), thinking that my boyfriend and I would have leftovers for the next several meals. I had to throw them both away. The low points of my experience with Rosso’s: I waited an hour and a half for them to deliver; I asked over the phone while ordering if the cheese lasagna had ANY meat it in(as I am a vegetarian), was told it did not, and after a few bites discovered that it did; the eggplant parm was fastly stuck to the paper it came wrapped in and when I finally realeased it from said paper, half of the sub was permanently joined with the paper(read: inedible); the sub was bland at best; the woman taking my order audibly sighed when I asked if I could pay by card over the phone… the list goes on. I hate giving bad reviews, but a girl’s gotta tell it like it is. Maybe the next time I want a meal that tastes like it was made by someone on Worst Cooks in America, I’ll ask my blind dog to whip something up. Am I missing something? Could I possibly have had such a disappointing meal from this place that so many of you have given positive reviews to? Maybe I should have tried their pizza? Whatever the reason, the fact is that I am still hungry and out $ 15 bucks. Now that sucks.

I have eaten at Rosso’s a few times now. I think their pizza is VERY good and I found their chicken parm to be excellent. The other reviewer is right that this place is family owned and operated by extremely nice people. Perhaps they just had an off night, which happens to everyone. I would recommend that you give Rosso’s a try! The inside is neat and clean. They have a TV. It is your typical neighborhood pizza & sub restaurant. The food is very good and their prices are reasonable! What more could you ask for?

Seriously, for good take out food, you cant get better than this in Lowell. Tucked deep into the outskirts of Pawtucketville, Rossos is a perfect spot to cure takeout cravings. Their subs are HUGE in size and flavor. From subshop favorites, cheesesteak to chicken parm, they are all incredible. Don’t get a large though unless you are prepared to split it with someone. They seriously are pretty big. You want a club sandwich instead of a sub? Try the amazing burger club loaded with hamburger and an insanely big pile of fries. Or if you want to cut back on the calories, their salads are great too. The veggies are always fresh and flavorful. Sometimes subshops tend to throw together salads like they are an afterthought. Not here. To me the best part hands down is the pizza. Nice Italian style thin crust with a huge amount of topping choices that you don’t usually find in Lowell(prosciutto, artichoke, eggplant) as well as numerous specialty and white sauce pizzas. Their pies are big and perfectly cooked. They seems like they came straight out of the North end of Boston. Yes, they are that good. So try this place out. The staff is super friendly. The place is a little out of the way(it is tucked at the front of Westminster Village), but worth it for take out. I have never actually eaten there, I just stop by to pick up the food. The restaurant itself is your typical pizza place. Typical pizza place booths. TV in the corner and a fridge for sodas. Nothing fancy(nor does it need to be fancy). Just great food, great prices and great people.

It is really hard for me to give this place a bad review. The people that run it, are wicked friendly and my food is always prepared quickly. I have given it three or four tries and each time, I am just kind of like m’eh. Keep in mind this is me rating their chicken finger sub, chicken parm, and such. Something was just wrong with the last chicken parm I got. I was expecting, chicken fingers, cheese, pizza sauce. like the ratio of sauce to chicken was off and I felt like they put on way too much sauce. So I didn’t even finish the sub, which is rare for me to turn down any kind of fried chicken. So if the sauce is any indication of their pizza I’ll pass, If I am in a pinch I can get their plan chicken finger sub and deal with it… but that would be a last ditch on my way home pick it up. I certainly don’t plan on going there to be satisfied. The place is family owned, decent standard menu, good service. It’s worth a shot to try it out, if you are close to the place… but if this isn’t on the way to your house I don’t recommend it.
