I have been frequenting this little restaurant, bakery for many years. The lady who runs it, Luz Angelica Rocca, cooks fantastic deserts from wedding cakes across the spectrum to very good Peruvian style beef empanadas and burritos. On occasion she will go all the way and cook daily specials which include Papas a la Huancaina, Arroz con Pollo, Lomo Saltado, Aji de Gallina, all of which are very Peruvian. Fastest way to visit Lima while in Lovettsville, VA. Her son, Giancarlo Rocca, runs the business side of the restaurant /bakery and is usually behind the register. Their telephone numbers are 571−277−1316 or 571−217−9458, e-mail: or . Recently they hired a chef by the name SHANNONDELGADO and as a world traveller I am pulling rank here. This guy is to die for, his breakfasts(mushroom/algae omelette over a croissant), lunches(Chicken over rice in lime sauce), and dinners(salmon with special sauce)…oh my GOD… Although I only have had three meals with the man, its enough to tell you we have now a big league chef in town. No bull, have a try and tell me I am wrong. Six Star restaurant quality places Bonnie’s breakfasts to shame… Andy’s lunches and the Bistro dinners in heavy contention. Only if you try it will you understand why Shannon is such a blessed arrival to our special town. Perhaps a chef easily found in downtown DC but to us, he in Lovettsville, VA he is a monument to be preserved, admired and eaten off of.

Rating by my younger brother: The owners of Bake It are just about as sweet as their pastries! It’s family run and everything is homemade. When I took my girlfriend here, they were closed, but the owners opened the door for us, took the time to describe all of their desserts, and gave us heaping portions of the cake and ice cream that we decided on. I had their chocolate cake and it was absolutely fantastic. I know I’m going to become a regular there with desserts that good and such friendly service.

Great little place with homemade, fresh pastries. They also have homemade empanadas. We had their breakfast burrito… well worth the $, made fresh. We shared the apple strudel, delicious. Great little spot where there aren’t many choices ! Will be back for sure! :)

Nice little family run bakery and deli. Had breakfast burritos, which were hand made and fresh. Defiantly would come back for baked goods.

Awesome tiny little family run place! We came to pick up beef empanadas the in-laws ordered for a party and stayed for lunch. Empanadas awesome as usual! We had a beef burrito, chicken burrito, and lomos saltado. Huge portions, incredibly fresh and everything tasted amazing! And the owners are incredibly nice people. You won’t be disappointed!

Family-owned, family-run Peruvian yum yums in the heart of Lovettsville. Food is cheap, homemade, and delicious. They need to advertise a bit more because they’re tucked away on a side street. As a small town you don’t get many choices for quick eats. It’s authentic and quaint which is perfect. The chicken is excellent!

I’ve been here 3 times, and everything I’ve gotten is good and cheap. I’ve gotten the caramel flan(awesome), some other cake(good), and I’m now eating the Lomo Saltado. For $ 10, it’s a huge portion of marinated beef, grilled onions, and fries over rice. Highbrow? No, but it’s really good. The folks there are really friendly, as well.
