First timer here
I would say the place is big and nice. They do have a lot of selection on food the only drawback was that we went at 4pm which is not dinner rush time and the food was not fresh and hot I was kinda disappointed because the food was good but not hot. The steaks were also a 3 out of 5 because they weren’t seasoned but was good for the price.

Love it!!! We just came across this place on the weekend. Amazing that they have buffet and seafood. The new dishes beef back rib and Thai chill sauce tilapia are delicious! A great place to hang out with friends or family!!! Hey they have lots of beer choices.

Our first time there tonight, Friday. The place is big inside. Clean, huge selection, American host, the only food that looked old was the pizza. I enjoyed all the foods that I tried. Ice tea was good and strong. Two adults and an eight year old with drinks added up to $ 37.00 with tax.

Having read the negative reviews I was pleased to see a beautiful, well lit dining room with a very large selection of foods. The steak was out in a tray to be selected and marinated before being cooked to order. We had no problems with any of our selections, and all left satisfied. It’s definitely worth a look when you’re in the mood for buffet, and the price is reasonable. We went for dinner before 6pm and had attentive service. Like all buffets, some of the food has been sitting in the warmer for a while, but everything was hot.

Peak time would be best for fresh food, I got suckered in by the ny strip sign out front and got a sour slice of fat with some meat on it, I had to move the steak from my table because it smelled so sour! Never again!

Good food. I have only had one off experience. That was on Halloween evening two years ago. Food trays were not filled well and they didn’t seem to be refilling anything. There were only a few people there that evening. I feel they didn’t expect many customers since it was Halloween and they were not prepared. What food was out was not as good as normal. Other occasions that I’ve eaten there I have enjoyed it very much. Just don’t go on a night like Halloween.

I have not given a one star to this point until now. Arrived at 5:10 on a Monday night. 4 groups eating in the joint, the food looked excellent. May even have tasted that way but I can summarize our experience this way.
Noodles: Cold. And not «it got cold on the way to the table cold» but cold, ice cold!
Fried and white Rice: Cold… exact same as noodles and riddle me this… how in the name of Sam Hill does rice in a rice steamer get cold?
In short, wife and I tried 6 different entrees, 4 were as cold as the rice and noodles. The sushi bar, we tried 3 pieces but only ate one as that one was mushy and old.
We drank water which went empty after about 5 minutes and stayed that way while the two serves stood and chatted in the middle of joint until we left about 5 minutes later.
And we still paid almost $ 24. This was ridiculous folks. I concur with John S. in that if Unilocal allowed zero stars, I would give zero stars.

After reading the reviews, we were a little hesitant BUT after FIRST taking a look at their Buffet, we decided to give it a try. The food was Fresh & very tasty! They continued to bring out fresh food all the while we were there. Good choice! The lunch price was affordable too!

of course the disgusting ness of the place came at the end of the meal… just as we were finishing up, our meal and i was walking back to my table with one last plate of sushi, I walked by a runner bringing out a tray of salad covered in fruit flies or some kind of gnats. At the same time my daughter was finishing her dessert, and found a fly in her icecream. Enough said… we walked out!

Best chinese food buffet in the Rockford area. Coconut shrimp is really good. More variety than a typical buffet. Does have sushi, a hibachi grill, and steak is included. Gets quite busy on the weekend

Far exceeded my expectations of a buffet. The selection was wide and fresh. The flavor on everything was balanced. The grill offered do it yourself stir fry similar to Stir Crazy. The beverage selection was even plentiful. I will go again.

I would give this one star, but Unilocal always filters it. The food here is absolute horrid. The only thing that was good was the peanut chicken and coconut shrimp were OK. Other than that, my wife kept spitting out most of the food (she is not a big fan of chinese buffets, but that is bad). Save your time, money and the Pepto Bismol.lol.
So, there is still no good chinese buffet in Rockford. Oh well, I guess I have to drive to Royal Buffet in Schaumburg.

Great chinese buffet. Has a very good assortment of oriental dishes with each clearly labeled. They even have froglegs on the menu. Very clean and the staff is very courteous and helpful.
