I liked it. The food was good, there was plenty of it, and the prices seemed about right.

Horrible customer service. The website offers a Lettuce Wrap option [it is just wrapped in the lettuce, no bun]. That is SPECIFICALLY what I went to them for — hell, it’s just long-leaf lettuce, but it is much less calories than a bun. I even asked specifically for a Lettuce Wrap for my grilled chicken, first thing — they said nothing, just an ‘okay’ to it. My toppings were tomato, spinach, pickles, sharp cheddar, and VERYLIGHT on the mayo. I was rather happy, as this was my ‘redeeming’ trip to them. WELL. First, we hear grumpiness from the kitchen as the guy at the window points out to them that it has no bun [I guess they tried to bun it up], we just hear grumbles of annoyance. Kitchen comes back to complain about the mayo on my order with lettuce wrap, very loudly, even though I’d asked for it to be verrryyy little [because y’know, it’s a lettuce wrap]. Riiight in front of us… Okaaayyy… At this point, I’m still just hoping my order is right or not spat on for being complicated [though it also really isn’t]. What I got? A SALADCONTAINER filled with my toppings and my chicken with my melted cheddar on it. With a lil packet of mayo in the bag. Uhh. Not what I ordered? It’s a salad right there, let’s be honest. A weird one. He sends out who I guess to be the manager when I point it out. I’m told they ‘don’t do that here’, they haven’t in the 3 years he’d worked there. And that they«gave me double lettuce», as it is the same… Now my ‘wrap’ is covered in juices from everything, and even assembled myself, it’s going to be greasy/wet on the outside when I grab it, and just, really, not the same. It’s like eating your burger after they slathered it with your toppings on the outside of your bun. If it wasn’t such a problem, why not just wrap it in the lettuce in the first place? Y’know, instead of giving a customer such a bad experience? In fact, why not have the cashier tell me they don’t do that at this specific store while I was ORDERING? Why not have the kitchen tell someone when they see the order? Or when the guy corrects them about the bun? At ANY point, instead of making it out to be my fault they didn’t tell me they didn’t do that, despite me bringing up that I only ordered it ’cause of the website saying they did it. Manager offered me a coupon for my ‘next visit’, but no. Why would I go to a place with such bad service again? Carl Jr’s offers up a lettuce wrap. Went there immediately after leaving, gave the weird-ass salad away to one of my roommates, because y’know, it wasn’t what I ordered and PAIDFOR. As a note, my roommate who went with me? His order was also incorrect. 1) He was given regular fries instead of the buffalo he ordered [but was given ranch to dip them in?], and 2) his buffalo burger had BBQ sauce on it instead for some reason. He even tried to lighten my exit from the establishment by saying he’d enjoy his — great job on that fail, guys. Get your stuff together, Smashburger. So disappointing.

Kitchen doing a fine job here. Service staff is either really awkward or wants you to leave before you are finished.

Was contacted by Brad the owner after our last visit, he said they would look into addressing staffing needs and sent a couple of coupons to us to give his place another try. Last night we stopped in just before the main rush started. This time I ordered a smash chicken and my wife also had one that was grilled. The food was much better and the best part of our experience was the buffalo style fries we tried, some of the best we have ever tasted before. The manager Chris was very friendly and this again seemed like the Smashburger from the past we used to enjoy. It is good to see an owner who listens and cares about his business here in Loveland.

We went to enjoy a lunch on 2÷9÷2014 — Chris was the«host» according to the receipt, but, he was also the manager on duty. Lunch time rush but he was the one taking the orders, taking the orders to the tables(although lunches sat under the lights for 5 minutes plus at a time) and I suppose clearing tables when that might have happened. Our food was far from hot but, the lights do keep the hamburgers and fries nearly as hot as fresh off the grill or out of the fryer. Food is good — service was lousy. We asked where all the help was(in our annoyed voice when the food was finally brought) and Chris answered with — I would like to know too. Managers can’t be worth a flip if they don’t have coverage to keep this place hopping!

Well it happened. This once better than all others location is now just as bad as the rest. My first experience at Smashburger was in foco and it was terrible. Soggy fries, overcooked burgers etc. The ones down in Thornton by my work were like this as well… Overcooked burgers, sogy fries. Now this one is the same as the rest. I don’t think it’s a one time thing either because I have been here at least 3 times lately.

The husband and I ended up with the worst heartburn/indigestion ever! Food was too greasy… I had the grilled chicken smashburger with the smash fries(only ate half, don’t need so many carbs) but still ended up tasting my food still 5 hours after eating it. We won’t be back.

I placed my order and after 20 min I went to ask where was my food, turns out food was just packed to go even though I ordered the food to stay. food was horrible, buns greasy and soggy, fries and sweet potato fries cold. for the amount of money they charge they should be providing better food and service. will NEVER go back

I never really understood all the hoopla. They say they SMASH burgers to seal in the juices and flavor! Can’t you all smell a gimmick? Smashing is like the #1 no-no of grilling! Sure, it is a decent burger, but for that price, it better be! My wife did not like the milkshake.

I’m here for the malt, the burger, although very good, is incidental. I like the salt caramel malt and the staff does a perfect job of execution. Served in a fluted frozen glass, a nod to retro soda fountain style. The tin it is made in is brought with the remainder, who does that anymore? The long spoon is perfect to eat the malt since the thickness makes a straw useless. The smashmalt is sheer heaven.

The first time I had a Smashburger(2012), I assumed I was disappointed in the hype, and therefore, not very fair. But I found them bland and expensive. The second time I had a Smashburger(2013), I had lowered my expectations, and was still disappointed. The burger had no taste. In fact, none of the sandwich had any taste. The fries were limp and bland. Thank God for ketchup. The third,(and final) time I had Smashburger(2014), I could taste the lettuce over the burger. I can get tasteless for cheaper. That’s it. I’m done.

I’m glad there is yet another choice in the fast-food hamburger industry. Different franchises serve different tastes, and for some, like myself, I like the variety of trying all kinds, over the monotony of sticking unswervingly with only one single franchise. One day, Burger King calls to me; another day, MacDonald’s; today, it was Smashburger. We were received with a very cheerful smile and a pleasant greeting. Asked if we had been at a Smashburger before, we said no, and the greeter patiently explained the menu to us. We ordered a «Colorado» and a «Bacon Cheeseburger.» We sat in the patio area, which was as comfortable as any patio area. We didn’t have to wait in line for our food; it was brought to us. We liked the ‘burgers. They were that pleasant sort of over-flowing messiness. The jalapenos, being early in the season, were hardly spicier than your typical Anaheim, but still possessed a mild bite. Tomato was a little«green» — a bit tough, in other words. The French fries were good, possibly above average, and that’s saying a lot coming from me. I usually don’t order drinks, but we both got some this time. The soda dispensary is a bottle-neck. People line up to get drinks, but the aisle there is only about one and a half persons wide, so people have a shoulder-rubbing time trying to get by while you’re getting your drink, and once you have your drink, you still have to wait to leave because someone else is now getting drinks both in front of and behind you. That station needs to be moved or reworked. Those poor people in that booth next to the drink dispensary! They got jostled a lot, but kept their cool. Four stars from me is a high rating. Five stars would require at a minimum, riper or organicker tomatoes, easier fitting drink lids, more space at the drink getter place, and possibly a foot massage.

When I was 15 I began working at a burger joint in suburban Kansas City that ground its own beef daily, balled it into ¼ pound portions, smashed them on the flattop grill and cooked them to order. I wound up working there for 7 years and put myself through college smashing burgers. To this day, those were the best fast-food burgers I ever had. But Smashburger comes pretty close. The fresh beef really makes a big difference and the various buns add a lot to the flavor and texture of the sandwiches. For my first visit I ordered the classic with regular fries and Mary had the Avocado Club with Smashfries. The burgers were excellent and the fries were very good although not quite as hot as they should have been. We could have been quite content splitting an order of fries as their food is pretty darn filling. Toppings on the burgers were all quite fresh. All in all, our visit was a good experience and we will return to Smashburger!

Yay for create your own burgers, Dr pepper, cherry coke on tap. 3 teas to choose from… unsweetened black tea, passion fruit green tea and citrus pomegranat red tea. I *LOVED* the Smash Fries! So good… could have been cooked 30 seconds longer and they’d have been even better… but damn! There was nothing I didn’t like about this place. In the week we stayed in Loveland, we went three times. Oh, the service was outstanding. Hell yes.
