Albracht’s One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

This company advertises an «on time» guarantee. When I called for service they wouldn’t give me even an estimate as to when the tech would be here — not even an indication as to whether he would arrive in the morning or afternoon. All they would tell me is that he would call when he was on his way. So, yes, they guarantee they’ll be «on time» because they won’t set a time! The guy who came was nice enough and talked me into a monthly subscription for yearly furnace tune-​ups. Since then, I keep getting sales calls. Every time, I’ve asked them to put me on their do-​not-​call list. No luck. I finally called the company directly and was assured I would not be called again unless it was to schedule my furnace tune-​up. Tonight — you guessed it — I got another sales call. That’s it. I’m done with them.

I was very disappointed in what this company seems to have become. I had used them before with good results so called them to check out a furnace problem. The tech who came out told me the heat exchanger was cracked and that he would have to disable the unit as it was unsafe. He said I needed to set up a meeting with my spouse so we could evaluate our needs before he would give a price on a replacement and that the company would not participate in any bidding process because «it takes too much of our time to determine the proper unit and then let somebody else get the job.»
Well, I didn’t waste any more of his time and called for a second opinion. The second contractor could not find any damage to the heat exchanger nor any other reason to red tag the unit. He made a few adjustments and re-​did a drain line and all was fine for a little more than $ 100.00.
I am sorry to see a company that was once reputable sinking to such tactics
My suggestion: don’t waste your time calling them.

We purchased a new furnace, air conditioner, humidifier, some blue light air cleaner, all the warranty’s that Cory offered, he was here for 4 hours selling us this system. We paid the monthly fee each month for the bi yearly checkups and had people come out every 6 months to check out the system. We told them every time that the upstairs was hot and after 3 years they did come put a mini unit in our master bedroom upstairs but left the other rooms upstairs hot. Then after 5 years of telling them the humidifier was not working they sent a new hire out and he told us that they put the humidifier in wrong and had checked it every 6 months for 5 years and lied to us telling us it was fine and worked properly. I am sure this guy lost his job. They tried to sell me an upgrade and I refused so they finally came and replaced ours with one that worked properly. Its amazing how nice it is to have what you paid for to be working.
If you keep on them they will honor there warranty but they will not try to upsell you on what ever they can first and if you do not fall for it and hold them to it they will honor what they say they will.
