My parents are 66 and 64, my dad is not retired, works a full time construction job and they have paid off their debt and only use cash. Their windows were over 20 years old and needed replacing They called for an estimate, the contractors came out and estimated $ 3000 for replacements. My parents paid $ 3000 in CASH to have almost all windows replaced. First, the contractors were no shows 3 times when they were scheduled to there. They did not call to cancel or let my parents know. 2 of those times were a Monday and Tuesday after New Years when my dad had used vacation days to be home. He missed out on working overtime that his job was working due to this. Second, they arrived on a Saturday when it was pouring down rain, walked thru my parents house in muddy boots. My mom had to ask them to take off their shoes because they had just had new carpet installed in the bedrooms. There were also 2 times they showed up unannounced and my mom was alone and not prepared as they did not call or schedule to arrive. Third, after installation, they left broken pieces of wood, assorted sizes of nails & screws, siding and plastic around the house, under windows and behind my parents cars. My father had just put brand new tires on his truck, which were not cheap, and had he not seen the 6 inch nails, would have blown out his tires. Also, my sister has 2 small children that my mom watches and God knows what would have happened had they been in the yard playing. I am absolutely furious at Window World and the incompetence, disrespect and complete disregard that they have shown my parents, who have worked extremely hard for everything they have and have been trying to fix up their home while my dad can still work. It was a horrendous experience for them. We have contacted Window World and the owner said the job was subcontracted out and he was not responsible for any of the issues.

If I could give this business a 0 star rating, I would. When I moved into my apartment in the beginning of December we noticed that my window in the living room was shattered. Of the three panes of glass, only one remained. I was told that they knew about the window being broken about two weeks before I moved in, but that it was on special order and plus be in the next week. A week, and nothing. Four weeks waiting for me(6 weeks total for the special ordered window) … And nothing. Or rather, they realized on jan 1 they’d sent the wrong window and had to re-order the correct one. Almost 5 more weeks now and I was finally told that window world would bring the fabled window this past Tuesday. Guess what? You guessed it, no window. Apparently couldn’t find a truck to carry it, so they’d promised to deliver it first think Wednesday morning. Guess what? NOFREAKINGWINDOW!!! It’s 20 degrees outside and there’s a freaking ¼ inch of ice on the inside of that single pane. I could have freaking special ordered a whole HOUSE of windows on the Internet or from lowes and had them delivered in less than a month. There is no excuse for this overwhelming lack of customer service when you advertise yourself as being experts on windows.
