Teeny-tiny liquor store in the middle of the Highlands. A surprisingly varied selection of wine and beer. And on Saturday night, during Bardstown Road aglow, there were free samples of warmed-up sugar shine moonshine!

This place is great. Hell of a selection for such a small, odd shaped building. Staff is good, transactions always quick. They special order my Nat Sherman smokes in for me every month, which I really appreciate. Thanks guys.

It seems every time I patronize Vault, the layout is different and though the last several times the layout seemed great, they now have perfected it and it’s fantastic. It’s a liquor store in the round, which must work well for the staff as they can now see every inch of the store, deterring would be thieves from walking out with plundered goods. They appear to have a smaller selection but it works given the amount of square footage they have to work with, and they still offer a diverse selection to appease any varietal alcohol consumer. All of these elements combined with their acceptably priced merchandise make Vault a great place to shop and I suggest you do so if you’ve not already. Happy cocktailing!

Someone told this out of towner about this place. The bourbon whisperer behind the counter — full beard, long hair, John Lennon specs — knew everything about bourbon and steered me towards the right choice. Really great.

Back in the day, I remember this place being an old cameraa shop and then after time passed, turned into a liquor shop. It was late saturday night and I needed some beer– I didn’t feel like going to a bar– the Vault was my saving grace! It focuses more on liquor– but has a decent selection of craft and local brews. even has a decent selection of well known tobacco. The staff although I did not catch any of their names– were so friendly as well! Def will shop again when I am in town!
