Reserved a truck for an in town move the day before and picked it up with no issues. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great selection of packing supplies, you can return any unused boxes for a full refund.

A successful spur-​of-​the-​moment cargo van rental for under $ 40 is hardly worth a heartfelt sonnet, but U-​Haul really came through for me when I made an unplanned purchase of a couch. Ryder rents vans for $ 100/​day (no happy ending). Lowe’s will offer a truck cheaply but the structured incentive to be done in 75 minutes is pretty unlikely. And fairly priced van rentals from standard car companies aren’t even an option. Obviously it’s best to shop around, but for me, U-​Haul had no legitimate competition for my business.
Really, the only thing better is getting your cousin’s truck for a six-​pack.
