My kids love this place, my wallet doesn’t. Food is great and I understand the prices due to slowly turning tables. So is it worth it? Yes. We eat here on special occasions and have never had a bad experience. Good service. They have an excellent wine selection and allow you to mix and match your selections for your fondue. My favorites are the cheddar cheese(ask for light garlic, or it might be too much), the potstickers, the filet, and of course the dessert fondue!!!

Finally got a chance to try this place and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The highlights of the meal are definitely the cheese and chocolate fondue. I could have done without the main course of meat and veggies all together. Our 1st course was the fiesta fondue with salsa and jalapeños in a cheddar and Swiss mix. 2nd course was salads and 3rd was the meat and veggies in the mojo broth we picked. 4th course and star of the meal was the turtle fondue with lots of yummy dippers

I am on the email list for the melting pot and saw an invitation for a teacher’s night out. It was advertised for a Monday night. So I spoke with my teacher friends and we were excited to make reservations to go! However, when I called they had changed the date to a Wednesday night. I was disappointed but my co-workers and I decided to go elsewhere. However, I emailed the melting pot via their website to let them know that the change in the date made them lose our business. I recieved the nicest email back from their manager letting me know how sorry his was about the mix up. He let us come on Monday night for the same special that they were running on Wednesday night. I got to meet him at the door and he sat us in his favorite booth(a round booth where everyone could see one another and talk easily). He also came to our table before he left letting us know that he appreciated all that we did for kids and thanks us! Our service was great… we enjoyed a three course meal of cheese fondue(hot brown and spinach artichoke)…individual salads… and chocolate fondue(turtle and s’mores). We enjoyed our night and the melting pot made it very special! We will be back again. Best customer service in town!!!

Let me start by saying this was a wonderful experience! The general manager and I met out and he invited me in. I was hesitant due to it being corporate. We went last year for our anniversary and had an impeccable night. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We did a special that incorporated an appetizer(cheese fondue), salad, entrée, and dessert. I believed we paid around $ 40 per person but it was very much worth it! We saved plenty by doing so. The high quality of the ingredients were both fresh and scrumptious! Our bottle of wine was decent as well in price! We WILL be back for many more anniversaries to come :)

This was our first visit to any Melting Pot location so, to be fair, I’m having a bit of a hard time sorting out what was poor service and what was intentional pauses in service meant to create a dining experience. We ordered the four course experience, which includes cheese fondue, salad, entrée, and chocolate fondue. We selected a special anniversary cheese fondue that was quite good. There were some strong cheeses in the blend. Mixed with sparkling wine, a dash of nutmeg, and a few sprinkles of black pepper, it was a nice complement to the bread and apples provided. The salad course was fine, though nothing special. I had the house salad; my husband had the Caesar. I had the Land and Sea entrée — filet, shrimp, and garlic herb chicken. The shrimp were the standouts here followed closely by the filet. The garlic herb chicken was the only meat on the plate to come pre-seasoned, and it tasted like it was seasoned with a packet of dry soup mix. My husband had a special anniversary Surf and Turf that included a lobster tail and filet, both of which he enjoyed. The sauces served with the entrees were really good — we both preferred the blue cheese sauce with our beef to anything else. For our dessert, we ordered dark chocolate fondue, and both agreed we easily could have just come in for that portion alone. So what didn’t go well? We each ordered a four course wine flight to accompany our meals. More often than not, the wine was brought out as we were finishing the course the wine was meant to accompany. This looked to be server error, as the bartender was attentive and quick once she entered the order. We happened to be sitting near the bar. There were several oddly long gaps of time between rounds. As I mentioned, I’m sure some of that is intentional, but certainly not all of it. At some point, a manager noticed the lull, found our server, and then came over himself with an update. In total, dinner took three hours — that’s a long time. There were no hand towels in the women’s restroom. I looked super awkward standing in the middle of the bathroom, hands dripping, trying to figure out the least awkward way to get back to the table so I could dry my hands on a napkin. So that’s a nice segue to Alex the manager. If I could write a review of just Alex, I would give him five stars. We saw the man do everything while we were there — he was taking reservations, he was seating tables, he jumped behind the bar to help make drinks, he delivered drinks to tables, he checked in on customers, he brought food out. The man is incredible, and that’s just from our few hours of observing.

I love The Melting Pot. I’m usually not that into chains, and I’m not saying I want to eat The Melting Pot every week or anything, but it’s a really great place to have a nice dinner. It is a bit expensive compared to many places, but I think most people eat here for special occasions, and tend to budget higher for those meals. Just go into it knowing what to expect and you’ll be fine. We used to live in Lexington and would go to The Melting Pot there; however, since that location closed, and we live in Louisville now, the Hurstbourne location is all that’s left. But, that’s not to say it’s a last resort. The restaurant is still great. It isn’t in the greatest location though. It’s in a strip mall, which doesn’t really scream romantic date night. If you can get past the fact that it’s located next to other shops and eateries it actually has ample parking and once you’re inside you’ll forget all about what’s out there anyway. On my most recent visit to this location I was dining with six girlfriends and we chose a special course menu they were offering at the time. It was absolutely delicious and our service was wonderful. They were also offering $ 20 bottles of wine that we split, so that was a definite plus(since a cocktail will run you $ 9, though they do have a delicious cocktail menu). If you’re planning to check out The Melting Pot for something other than a special occasion or romantic date definitely consider having a girls’ night there. It’s a really fun way to get together with friends and catch up while you interact with your food. They also offer a three-course menu that’s only $ 19.95/person, so it’s pretty affordable considering the amount, and the quality, of food you get. Everything I’ve ever had from the menu has been delicious. We usually do a 4-Course Experience, and my favorite courses are always the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue. Everything else is great, I’m just a girl that loves chocolate and cheese! My favorite thing I’ve ever had at The Melting Pot was during my most recent trip. It was a white chocolate crème brûlée fondue made with Bourbon Barrel Foods Bourbon Smoked Sugar. It was absolutely amazing. And it was gone in under two minutes. I definitely recommend The Melting Pot. For a special occasion, date night, or just any time you feel like going out and having a delicious, fun, intimate meal.

«Heather our server was AMAZING she made the whole evening for us and went above and beyond to make sure our evening was the best expirence possible. She was very knowledgeable and went over directions and menu options very thoroughly. The manager was very knowledgeable and would stop by our table periodically to check and make sure we had everything we needed, while his wait staff attended to others needs and busy at other tables he made sure everyone’s experience was the best possible. Our reservation was for 7:15 and the food was brought out at just the right time. They even stayed late while we finished up our meal not disturbing us to rush us out, but to make sure we had everything we needed. Very amazing staff and will recommend this location and our server Heather to our friends and family. Heather and your manager MADE our expirence at the Melting Pot worth it.»

I’ve never had a bad experience at the melting pot. The food is tasty, the ambiance is pleasant, and the service is really good. But, I would have to say, once you’ve done it once, it kind of loses all of the allure. The food is a bit pricey, and to me just isn’t worth the inflated bill. By all means, absolutely try it out! It is tasty and very rich. It’s more tasty if someone else in buying. If you haven’t been, you should give it a shot. Overall impressions of the restaurant are that it is clean, has great waitstaff, and the dim lighting and high seat backs make you feel more secluded and intimate with your party. It has a definite«rich mahogony» vibe and could be construed for a romantic experience on a date night. Give it a shot. It might fondue you some good.

Well– to start out, they have great mints and nice bathrooms. The server was great– friendly, informative, and attentive. It is such a fun place to go especially when celebrating something special. The food was delicious too. Cheese was our favorite. We’ll be back!

Excellent food and ambience. Be prepared to stay for a long time, like a two-three hour affair but the food is really good and it’s got a really unique way for serving your food

I have been to Melting Pot couple of times and my past experience has been much better than this location. I went to this location last night. The staff was very disinterested and did not care about guests or what we ordered. We were never asked if we had been to restaurant before? I mean it’s not like we’re in a Denny’s. I specifically told the server that we were not that hungry and would be sharing food. Upon ordering, they again made the assumption that I ordered 2 plates each of appetizers and main course. Needless to say, lot of food got left over which we had to throw out as it didn’t taste that good the next day. I had high expectations from this but I suppose, am not going to this place again. Sorry

My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night. The sign says walk ins welcome. When we walked in they said they were fully booked until 930pm(this was 6pm when we arrived). We decided to leave and make reservations for the following Friday. We arrived at our reserved time and were immediately seated. The waitress and manager both went over the menu thoroughly. We ordered the 4 course meal. Our first course came out pretty quickly. As well as salads. After we finished apps and salads we waited almost 60 minutes for the mains. I asked the waitress how long it takes to prepare raw food that I’m going to cook myself. After the main we had our dessert delivered. All in all it was great. The length of time to turn the table seemed to be excessive. We were there for almost 3 hours. If you decide to eat here don’t have anything else planned afterwards.

This is the fourth melting pot I’ve eaten at and it was as good as the others. Food was top-notch and the service was excellent. Our server admitted it was her first night(after two weeks of training) and did an excellent job. The general manager delivered my husband’s drink and introduced himself. I like a place where the manager is out on the floor observing the service. We had the Caribbean cheese dip(very good and lighter than a lot of others), the delicious orchard salad, mojo style cooking with both the steak lover’s entrée and the French Quarter entrée. Both went well with the moho and we used all of the dips. The chocolate fondue… well, I’ve never had a bad one! We went for the Ying & Yan which can sweeten up the fruit and tames down the sugar in the blondies, brownies and pound cake. I’ve been at Melting Pot for just the chocolate fondue and it’s worth every single penny! I think I’ve had at least six different types of chocolate and every one of them was delicious. Hint– absolutely make reservations for weekends and it’s a good idea for week days as well. We’ll be going there again before long!

The hubs brought me here for a late Valentines Day dinner and it was perfect. I loved their Skinny Dipping menu because you still get a good portion(we didn’t even finish eating most of our veggies) but you know how many calories you’re consuming. You even still get dessert as an option :) We went on a Tuesday at 6 so there weren’t very many people there, but I feel like if you’re going on a weekend you should make a reservation. Everything was so yummy! I had the«surf and turf» which was shrimp and steak with veggies. There’s six sauces to choose from so it’s nice to be able to mix it up with all of the different options. Our server was really great explaining how long to cook everything, but I would recommend dumping all of the veggies in and scooping them all out with the big spoon you get.

I’ve always had amazing experiences here and last night was by far the best yet. Pacific Rim and Land and Sea, two bottles of J. Lohr, the Wisconsin trio cheese, yin and yang chocolate, etc. omg. yum. They even gave us complimentary chocolate covered strawberries to take home since we were the last ones in there. Our waiter was fantastic and engaged in interesting conversation with us and laughed with us. Wow. What a night. Our reservations were at 8:30 and left after midnight. Time flies when you’re having a blast.

We have been here twice in the past 4 months. When I lived in PA I always wanted to try it and we never made it there. Thank God we made it to the one here! They offer gluten free option for us who are hindered when we go out to eat. Honestly most of their menu items can be made GF-WHOOHOO! Gluten free bread for the cheese dip, gluten free brownies and supposedly pound cake for dessert. We have gone twice and they have run out of pound cake — which I prefer over a brownie The first time we went it was PACKED-they had just offered a groupon and it was just crazy in there. That was our fault for going during this time. We had a reservation but we waited at least 15 min for a hostess to come and check us in. The food was good-the meat is so tender, lean and full of flavor. The cheese dip is awesome-I could go there and just get the cheese dip and dessert and be happy with myself-as would my tummy! You get a small salad when you order the«pick 4» which is probably the best route to go for everyone. Unles you are going just for the cheese dip. For dessert we ordered the snickers-it is not on the menu but the wait staff will tell you about it. Very tasty! I do wish it would have had more of a peanut butter taste. The wait staff is very friendly and socialable-I assume you have to be since you are standing by the table for at least 5 min at a time making the cheese dip and such. The second time we went we ordered basically the same things-we did change the cheese dip flavor up and the dessert. We got the fiesta dip-not bad but not my favorite. For dessert we ordered the crème brûlée-from my understanding this is just a seasonal thing. ITWASOUTOFTHISWORLD! Do plan on spending at least $ 30-$ 40 a person without adult beverages and plan on being there for at least 2 hours-if you choose the pick 4. That is the only downfall-they sometimes give you a little too much time to eat. The last time we went we had a really attentive server until after our main meal, he went MIA-we think they saddled him with a large table. He didnt even drop out check off-the manager did. :(.

Such a romantic evening out. My husband surprised me here with reservations for my birthday, and it was without a doubt our restaurant of choice for our one year wedding anniversary a few months later. It is pricey, but completely worth it. Both times, we were tucked away in a two-person booth. If it wasn’t for laughter and the smell of coq au vin, we’d assume we were alone. Very intimate. Before we knew it, 2.5 hours had passed. Overall, a great experience!

Not enough recent interviews for the Melting Pot here in Louisville. Husband and I come 2 or 3 times a year for birthdays or anniversaries and enjoy every visit. We are welcomed by name, and the manager usually remembers us. Terry is our go to server, but recently we’ve had some other servers when we’ve stopped in without a reservation and find the service is always top notch. We’ve liked the menu revamp a lot, and the prices have become even more affordable. I recommend the Mojo cooking style, and don’t be afraid to ask about the Cheese and Chocolate fondue selections that are not on the menu. Often times the server spends so much time at the table preparing your cheese and waiting for your fondue oil to heat they don’t spend a lot of time making menu suggestions unless you ask! Most recently we went in and learned about the Green Goddess Cheese. It is not on the menu! But very tasty! Also, the sauces on their own, teriyaki, honey mustard and plum aren’t special on their own as other reviewers have said, but one server recommended that we mix them together! Amazing! Give it a try. :) Don’t skip the vegetables. The broccoli and and potatoes with a little Green Goddess(it’s also a cream cheese dip!) is delicious. Enjoy an evening at The Melting Pot. Give yourself about 2 hours and make sure you have some very good company
