Professional, clean, thorough. I was able to witness my boyfriend’s vision be repaired instantly with the staff at the eye care institute. They did an awesome job with the consult, choosing the PRK vs lasik for his active lifestyle, & were super friendly with post-​op. If you’re worried about transport, they offer assist with their corporate Über account! Kudos!

Awesome job!!! I had LASIK performed by the doc and his great staff and I couldn’t be more pleased. Dr. Pattar was a true professional and he has the most amazing staff backing him up. I felt comfortable and cared for from the moment I walked through the door and I am super happy to have gotten the surgery. I DON’T NEED GLASSES ANYMORE!!!
Alex, Sherry, Adrienne, Morgan, and Jared were great throughout the entire process. The whole procedure took about 10 – 15 minutes and it was painless and as easy as pie. They even give you a blanket and teddy bear to take home for your instructed nap. My 3 year old daughter quickly confiscated the teddy, but I still found a way to take that nap:)
Overall, this was the best experience I could’ve asked for. They really went above and beyond and I can’t thank them enough. Keep on rockin!!!

Great service! The staff was really welcoming and reassuring when I went in for surgery. Now I have ²⁰⁄₁₅ vision!

Booked my appointment over the phone and was sent an email with a link to complete patient history paperwork.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by Adrienne who was very welcoming and eager to assist. The office had the electronic paperwork I completed on-​line so there was nothing for me to fill out.
I was back in a room within 10 minutes of my appointment time. The exam by Dr. Meyers and staff was very thorough. I also appreciate that my total visit lasted under 1 hour.
Overall I was very impressed by the efficiency.

I wish all doctors’ offices rose to the level of the Eye Care Instiute’s operation on Story Avenue in Louisville. I first went there because my employer had changed insurance providers and i had to leave my previous ophthalmologist. A co-​worker recommended Dr. Brennan Greene, so he’s the one I requested. (I should not that I’m rather picky about my eyes and my glasses, because I was quite nearsighted, and there was also astigmatism to contend with.)
For the first few years, all I required was a checkup every two years and an occasional modification of my eyeglass prescription. Dr. Greene finds this less than challenging, but I persuaded him to stick with me.
Then came cataracts, with the eventual need for surgical removal. I had multifocal lens implants at the same time. No complications and no discomfort at all.
Six months later, I experienced a sudden change in vision – some blurriness and lots of floaters of various descriptions – in one eye. (This was unrelated to the cataract removal.) Dr. Greene examined me at length and said the retina had torn. It was the end of the work day (I had the last appointment), but Dr. Greene alerted Dr. Sean Murphy, a retinal specialist, that an immediate repair was needed. Dr. Murphy did his own extensive inspection of the eye and then stabilized the tear with laser «welding.»
I’m curious and I have a scientific bent as well, and this new condition plus the treatment were clearly explained to me – and not in baby talk.
The treatment I’ve received engender faith in the professional abilities of both Greene and Murphy.
In addition, and not in the least unimportant, is the high quality of the support staff – the ophthalmic technicians and the clerical crew. My wife – also a patient there – and I have remarked on that on several occasions.
