I have used the services of the Edge Salon for nearly twenty years now and I can not stress how clean, professional and upbeat the place is. The owner strives to run a business that not only focuses on high quality salon services, but adds other holistic touches such as aromatherapy and ear candling.
The owner has spend half a lifetime creating a place that is backed up by the knowledge and experience of a master beautician and the soul of an artist. This place is not just a place for the ladies as you will find two master barbers on the other side for the men.
If Tanning is your thing you will find well maintained tanning beds and stand up sun domes that are always clean and ready for use. I know many ladies who travel quite a ways for Yvette to do their nails.
The main reason why I choose the Edge as I have many chemical sensitivities and health problems. The owner, Jennifer, has personally taken the time to research the long list of ingredients that my allergist has determined that I am highly allergic to and she has found shampoo and styling products that I can use that do not inflame my allergies. When my scalp is inflamed she is one of the few people I can trust that can give me a scalp treatment that calls things down. I have never encountered any other person in the hair care industry that was dedicated enough to do research to this extent for one client.
She also understands those who have been through Chemo treatments, or take medicines that effect the texture and can help detoxify someone’s hair.
While I am there I also observe the interaction that she has with her staff, it is a family there. I highly recommend the services of this salon, it is one of the crown jewels of the South End of Louisville.

This is my second time visiting this place. The girl that I see if the fiancé of an old friend of mine, which Is why I decided to give this place a shot. My first time going was when I went to a prom. She did my hair and makeup, and it looked amazing. Today all I needed was a cut and for her to redo my bangs. She cut my hair dry because it had recently been washed, and since I have having a heat stroke, she said she didn’t want to put me through the whole blow drying process, lol. My hair is and feels so much more healthier and looks better. I recommend going to this place because they do an amazing job. Cut, style, or makeup.
