Great selection, original flavors, good service. Stopped by while in Louisville and was not disappointed. Went with the«flight of flavors» — trying three flavors. Really enjoyed the cookie dough! Will come back when in Louisville again!

What a cute ice cream place! The sundae prices are a little high but they are with it. The homemade whip cream is a perfect complement for the sweet sundae. My other half had the berry sundae and the ice cream was so good. I had the salted caramel Ice cream with a blonde brownie. The ice cream was really good but the brownie wasn’t the best. It was a little on the dry side and too fluffy and cake like for a good brownie. I loved this place overall and would go back to visit.

Very cool vibe inside of the original Comfy Cow. The waiter told me to try the«Big Brown» because it was my first time. The brownie was ok, nothing great. It was topped with homemade whip cream which was great. The ice cream it self was ranked #2 in America. #3 in America was Island Creamy in Chincoteague, VA. I can honestly say Island Creamy is still the best. But comfy cow is definitely worth the try if in the area.

The Asst. Mgr. is a young lady who is naturally helpful and knowledgeable. Great product. The Brown Butter Peanut Brittle is awesome! It’s definitely worth a try.

So many options so little time. I had their ginger snap ice cream which may have been seasonal and I really wish it isn’t because every bite tasted like heaven. Their cinnamon ice cream is also very good. Great service and they let you try flavor a before making your choice.

We brought our visiting family to Comfy Cow — a final treat for their last night in Louisville. Unfortunately, the Frankfort Ave location was already closed(9PM, really?!), so we beat-feet across town(and took several wrong turns) to this location. The wonderful staff was more than incredibly gracious and friendly when we(5 adults and 2 loud toddlers) barged in just minutes to closing — THANKYOU! Yes, the ice cream is absolutely unique, and all of it is yummy deliciousness!

Oh Comfy Cow, why are you so delicious? I am not a fan of dessert but occasionally I will get an ice cream craving. When this happens, I find myself at Comfy Cow for a delicious scoop of Cake«Batter Up» in a bowl with sprinkles. It’s decadent, creamy, and it tastes exactly like birthday cake. It’s also incredibly addictive which is why I can only have it once in awhile lest I become a whale. The flavors here are exceptional and there is something for everyone. Go now, please! Don’t deprive yourself of this deliciousness for another minute!

Inventive flavors and adorable décor make every visit to the Comfy Cow a Louisville original experience. It’s some of the best ice cream I have ever eaten! I highly recommend the bourbon ball ice cream!

Cute ice cream place all over Louisville. We went on a Sunday evening and there where a few customers but it was not packed. The girl working the counter was extremely nice and explain how the place works and let us try a lot of different flavor before deciding what to get. They have over 30 flavors! So it was very hard to pick. I ended up a pick 3 flight, which means I had 3 different ice creams. I picked butter pecan, regular chocolate and pennant butter chocolate chip. By far the last one was my favorite! It was smooth and the flavors blended together very well. My friends also got flights and I have to say that the peanut butter and jelly was amazeballs!!! If you are in town definitely stop here for ice cream!

Just as good as the other locations of The Comfy Cow around town. I absolutely LOVE the ice cream here. I wish I could have gotten pistachio on my last visit, but it’s also fun that they carry some variances in flavors between the different locations. Gives you a good reason to check out all of them if you dare! :) Check out my pics and review of the Highlands location too.

So many choices!!! I think I have become more of custard person so the ice cream flavor didn’t appeal me much. But for those who LOVE ice cream, this is heaven. They can be in the expensive side if you choose to order sundae(as they are 9.95 each, a meal in itself). The options are overwhelming. The staff was very friendly and helpful in flavor tasting. They have indoor and outdoor seating at the University of Louisville location. My only recommendation would be for the store management to place a garbage can outside as well especially since they have seating outside.

We made it here 3 times in the 5 days we were in Louisville. It was that good! Most impressive was when we walked in and asked if we could have a taste and the fellow said we could taste as many flavors as we wanted. There were 3 of us and all ice cream lovers with a wide range of tastes. The fellow was very patient and helpful dishing out tastes and answering questions. Beyond service… the ice cream was AMAZING! So tasty. So creamy! And my favorite was VEGAN! Who knew it could be that good?! My favorite… The Doctor’s Cure!

I went again last night. I have to confess that I was little overwhelmed on my first trip. But this time I was more relaxed and was really able to enjoy it. I’m originally from Cincinnati and therefore a Graeter’s fan through and through. However, when in Louisville, I’m going to this place! Their ice cream is truly awesome — mostly because of the absolutely awesome flavors they come up with and their consistently cream texture. I can’t say I enjoyed their cookie as much as I enjoyed the brownie I had last time — the brownie was soft and fudgy whereas the cookie was very crispy, even when warmed. But the new flavors of ice cream I tried this time made up for all that. If you get there this February, I would definitely recommend the PB&J!

Well, I’ll be dipped(get it?)… Driving thru Louisville tonight and had ice cream for dinner. Why not? It’s Christmas eve-eve-eve after all! About an hour later I read that Brentwood is getting a Comfy Cow soon. This is dangerous because this place is GOOD. Had one scoop of banana walnut fudge with hot fudge on top. Large scoop… delicious as can be. Don’t be in a hurry and be prepared, they are prod of this ice cream at $ 6 for the mentioned sundae… but it was totally worth it.

This ice cream is so amazing! My boyfriend and I were in town looking for a place to get ice cream so we used good and saw that Man vs. Food came here and did their ice cream challenge(which I saw cost 45 $) so we thought we would come here for our ice cream cravings. It was amazing!!! My boyfriend got 2 scoops of Cake and Cookies in cream in a waffle cone and loved it! I got the brownie Sundae with Cake ice cream, it was delicious but I definitely wish there was more ice cream to brownie ratio.

Yes, people, I scheduled my departure around the opening time of an ice cream shop. The ice cream here is good, and better than most places I’ve been to. The flavors are a bit surface-level, lacking the depth and complexity I’ve come to appreciate at Jeni’s and throughout Europe. That being said, this is the closest I’ve tasted a salted caramel come to the standard bearer that is Berthillon in Paris. Very well done!

I was in town for the weekend and had a late night massive craving for something sweet. Comfy Cow hit the spot! I should’ve ordered the kiddie scoop instead since the normal single scoop was A LOT of ice cream. Had a scoop of their simply southern(sp?) and it was really good with bourbon flavor, chocolate chips, and pie pieces. It was a bit on the overly sweet side, so I couldn’t finish it.

Brown butter peanut brittle. 4 words that completely derail my diet efforts for the day … and I just don’t care. It’s worth every sweet, salty, and crunchy bite. The best ever. In the months where bbpb isn’t available, I have no trouble finding more than enough unique flavors to take its place. Another favorite is the policeman’s special(coffee ice cream and pieces of locally made donuts) um, yes. coffee and donuts. All swirled together in a perfect marriage. That would count as a proper breakfast, right?
