I wish I had gotten into town in time for Taste of the Derby. I thought I would’ve made it for the event but didn’t. I was only able to enjoy the last 30 minutes of the event. Everything was being packed up and the only thing still being served were drinks. There were still about 150 people dancing to the band who sounded like they were spectacular! The bartenders told me it was easily over 1000 people who attended. The event started at 7pm and ended at 11pm. They roll out a huge red carpet and it’s in a really large stadium/​ballroom. It looked like it was so much fun and really nice. I bet the food from all those Food Network chefs were to die for! I will be attending on time during my next Kentucky Derby trip.
