Just left, and after eating 10 wings I feel like I have drunk two cups of warm Crisco. They are breaded pretty heavily and really greasy on the inside, but the wedges were great. The unsweet tea was undrinkable, I’m not sure what was wrong with it. A fountain coke saved the day. Pretty unremarkable experience, I guess if you found one out on the expressway next to a McDonalds and there were no other restaurants…

I like Roosters. I know that it’s a chain but sometimes, that can be a good thing. The food is consistent at both Louisville locations and the service that I have experienced has always been good. The boneless wings are huuuge and are my favorite item here and you really can’t go wrong no matter what sauce you choose; but I like the Sweet Thai Chili, the Garlic and the Carolina Gold. The wings don’t come with a side so you’re free to choose from some fun appetizers like tots, curly fries, mini corn dogs, etc… to enjoy too. It’s definitely a diet busting kind of place but we all need that once in a while!

Love the lettuce wedge! Wings were great. All our food was good. Reasonably priced. Waitress was good. Definitely will go back. Went to the Preston Hgwy. Location.

Super happy with this place! Huge wings, good service, and an incredibly enjoyable, upscale interior. I enjoyed the Donkey Wings. Not as hot as I would have liked, but flavor was good. Price is even better! Try this place out as soon as possible!

I have been told to try this place by at least five friends. Everyone sings praise of it. Unfortunately I am not sure if it was a off night or what. The service was great. The waitress was courteous and attentive. However the wings were really over cooked and super dry. As if they were forgotten in the frier. Which may be the case we waited quite some time for our food. The sauce tasted bland and so did the bleu cheese and ranch which i used a lot to counter the desert that was the chicken in those wings. I’m not saying it is a bad place and I know it is local favorite. But it is simply not for me.

Wings were OK, good portion. The appetizers seemed small. Our service at the Preston Highway location was bad. Waited for an hour to get our food. When we did appetizer was hot but my wings were cold. Plus as long as we were there only got 1 refill and had to flag down our waitress to get it. May be better another time but for my first time there probably won’t go back!

I love Roosters, but I can no longer go to the Preston location. They have gone from playing classic top-40 music at reasonable sound levels to blasting hideous country«music» at concert levels, and there is NO place you can sit to get away from it. I felt like my IQ had dropped 10 points by the time we left, and it honestly ruined my meal. I will be going to the Dixie location from now on. They have always seemed to be a notch or two ahead on the food and service too.

Decent Wings, Sub Par Service. Not a bad place to go if you want«nearly-nasty» chics talking to you for tips. There has to be a «nicer» wing place in the Louisville area.
All the Roosters are consistent with their food. It’s a great place to go for bar type food and it’s easy on your wallet. This location is closest to my work and several of us decided to get carry out last week. I had a complicated order and it was still ready as quoted and it was all made correctly. I love their side salads and their homemade ranch, their burritos and their buffalo chicken pizzas best.

The wings at Roosters are great, my favorites are the Carolina gold and the medium, although the Donkey and Killer are good too. Unfortunately, the night I visited this location, my waitress did not bring her«A», «B» or even«C» game. Simple drinks(Soda and Beer) took forever, orders were not correct, and the worst part was that our waitress didn’t seem to care. They were not busy at all, but our glasses sat empty far longer than they were full and simple things like napkins and wetnaps, essentials for wing eating, were not given without us asking at least twice. We should have alerted management, but we couldn’t find them and we really didn’t want to ruin our evening trying. I understand having an off night, so I may give this location another try, otherwise it’ll be back to the Middletown location where service seems to always be great.

This has become a regular place for me. I was surprised that the chicken burrito was as good as it was. The wings are always good. I like the atmosphere and the prices. Four of us ate yesterday for around $ 60. An excellent choice for a couple of cold beers and wings.

My absolute favorite place for wings & things! Has a menu similar to most sports bars. Boneless Wings are HUGE, and covered in the sauce of your liking. Inventive sauce names like. Donkey and Killer/Super Killer. Plenty of flat screen tv’s for game days. Managers usually stop by to see if everything was ok and it’s usually great! Fast for big or small orders and waitress always checks up on the table. We go hear regularly with co-workers and it is a constant with our group. We are never disappointed in service/food and always leave happy/full!

Went in expecting this place to suck, but to my surprise it was great! Their ranch rating is 7.5 out of 10 we ordered the mild wings, the garlic wings, garden salad and quesadilla’s… We will be back.

Good food and service. Have eaten here a number of times without issue. Their personal pizzas are good along with the onion petals. Beer specials a lot of days.

On the inside Roosters looks very similar to a Hooters but don’t be fooled, the food here is far superior in my opinion. The wings themselves are larger and the variety of sauce choices is better. I like that you can combine sauces also. My husband always gets garlic, teriyaki and medium all tossed together. I normally order a burger which you can get dressed with jalapeños, mushrooms, bacon, different cheeses and of course the usual suspects. I also love the chili cheese fries. Nothing really unique but just very tasty. The price is what really seals the deal for me. I’d say on average their items are around 2 – 3 dollars cheaper than the competition and I think the quality and taste are far superior. And for those of you who are concerned about these types of things, I think the girls who work at Roosters are more attractive than your average Hooters girl. They do wear a little bit more clothing but none the less they are super attractive and friendly.

When I’m in the mood for wings, Roosters is the go-to place before considering any of the more prominent wings-based sports bars. The servings tend to be larger than ‘normal’ too. 5 – 10 are enough here, vs. 15+ elsewhere.

Nice place. Similar to their other locations. This one has sort of a lodge-like feel to it which stems from the building being a former steakhouse with exposed beams in the ceiling. Everything is wood in there… tables, chairs, walls, etc. TVs are everywhere at all angles… you’ll hardly have to turn your neck at all to catch that familiar glow of soothing radiation. The atmosphere is similar to Hooters, but perhaps a little more geared to families. It’s like a Hooters-BeefOBradys hybrid. You seat yourself here and then a server will head your way. There is usually plenty of seating to choose from of both tables and booths. The booths easily seat six and there are a couple of round booths seating more. If that isn’t enough, the staff allows guests to freely grab and rearrange tables. I have never had any akward arrangement with any size group here. People come here for the wings and endless array of sauces. I come here for some of the other stuff… I have become of big fan of their«Greek Salad» and the marinated or grilled chicken strips… all very good. I am a big Reuben fan, but was disappointed in their version. The layers of corn beef were matted flat and it felt like I was just biting into a big slab of meat. Usually, a Rueben has the layers folded and shuffled around… similar to an Arby’s roast beef sandwich… creating a texture that adds to the flavor. The curly fries are good, but they are just regular fries that are curled up. They do not taste any different or better than regular fries. Overall decent place. I am likely to return several times.
