HUGEHUGEHUUUUGESALE going on right now! Y’all. Go. 50% off some sweet sleeping bags, 40% off others. Jackets, sweaters, long underwear… All… On… MEGASALE!!! In regards to the store itself The employees rock. They’re friendly and informed. I was really pleased with their knowledge and attentiveness. Great stock. Btw… Big bummer: they’re closing soon. The lease is about to end. So, go while you still can! ;)

Amazing service. I ran in there with my sasquach son for hiking shoes(size 13 E)(Yes, he is related to Fred Flinstone!) at the LAST minute — like 35 minutes prior to putting him in a van with his Scout buddies to go sleep in a forest for a weekend.(little did I know when I asked him if he packed a sleeping bag that he was refering to a fleece blanket when he said«yes» in answer or we would have bought a bag too since the forcast was for 32 — 35 degrees :) — But hey, that is what Scouts is all about right? Teaching the kid to prepare for the conditions he will be living in. Yeah, well he froze his a** off and I guess next time he will take his Actual sleeping bag!) Anyway, back to Quest! We ran in and were helped right away — the guy asked what we were looking for and we let him know we needed hiking boots and we were in a hurry. He quickly measured the giant’s foot and went in the back for four boxes. The kid was ready to walk out with the first pair until the employee told him he didn’t want to feel rubbing anywhere on his foot and he should try another pair to compare. He did and the second pair was perfect. The employee also got the kid a pair of wool hiking socks and we were out the door and made it to the departure point on time. It came in around $ 150 with the Scout discount and I was ok with that. I appreciated having someone knowledgable help me and explain(quickly) the different types of hiking shoes and find us what we needed. I will definitely be back!

Before Bass Pro or Cabellas, you should try Quest Outdoors. While QO is not necessarily the large amusement park that the competition is, QO still manages to pack in the selection. What’s better? It’s locally owned! I’ve experienced a VERY friendly staff at this location on all my visits. This retail world of outdoor goods has everything from shoes & attire to kayaks & tents. Now, it just so happens I’m not an extremely outdoorsy person, but I find myself drawn to the amazing selection of backpacks, bags, and other accessories the blend well into the world of the urban traveler. It’s just a great store. In addition, if visiting the Summit shopping center, which is great as well, stopping here is a must.
