I think it’s closed. Nothing on the fb page, busy signal on the phone for a few days, not even a sign on the door. Great since I just bought a Groupon a few days ago.

Great relaxing experience, just what the MD ordered for a Friday night after a long week. Good sushi & service for me! And I eat out a lot.

This might be a hole in the wall but they have some high quality sushi. I unfortunately have not been there for karaōke.

The Oasis Sushi and Soul Bar is a pretty good restaurant and I’d definitely recommend it to those that are frequent sushi eaters. I went here to use the Groupon that I recently purchased and I have to say that it was definitely worth the purchase. The most interesting thing about this restaurant is that it offers Karaōke rooms for parties of about 10 – 12 and the rooms look pretty similar to the ones that I visited during my stay in Tokyo, Japan. Therefore, if you’re looking for a chill restaurant with your favorite classic rolls, or to try the Japanese styled Karaōke rooms, then I’d definitely visit the Oasis Sushi and Soul Bar.

Disclaimer: I’ve only been here once – and I didn’t eat anything(though the others in my party were all satisfied). That being said, however, this place is pretty cool. It’s right off Preston Hwy and at first glance it looks a liiiiitttle sketchy(what with the neon signs and all), but step inside and you’re in a clean, modern sushi bar better fitted for Frankfort Ave or Bardstown Rd. The best part of this place is that it’s also a karaōke bar. Not your traditional karaōke bar with a stage in the back where drunk people belt out their best rendition of Journey’s greatest hits, but they actually have private rooms that are, for the most part, soundproof to the rest of the restaurant. The room we were in had seating for 10 – 12 people, a pretty swanky karaōke machine, 2 mics and some sweet disco lighting. There were also tambourines… and who doesn’t love a good tambourine? I’m really not a huge fan of karaōke, but I loved this concept. I’m not sure how many different rooms there were, but it seemed as though there were at least 2 others around the same size and one capable of a much larger crowd. The bar isn’t much to speak of – just a small selection of beer and wine, but it’s reasonably priced and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
