I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped inside Noodles & Company. In my mind I was thinking fast food, and while it somewhat is, the décor and menu are a large step up. Although I was under the impression the dishes would be Asian-inspired only, I learned the offerings extended from mac n cheese to stroganoff. It takes a couple of minutes to understand the menu, but the staff was very helpful. Pick your noodles, determine the portion size, add meat if desired. Sides are also available. I have order the Indonesian Peanut dish twice. It’s on the spicy side(have your soda on hand!) but each time it was very dry. Unfortunately adding soy sauce changes the flavor and you aren’t able to request more sauce. Fairly bummed because this is what I crave and why I went back to visit. Another note, I enjoy the«summer salad» with tomatoes and cucumbers but the second visit the dish had seasoning on the top. It absolutely destroyed the clean flavor of the veggies and I gave it away to my husband. Our kids enjoyed the mac n cheese as well as the chicken tenders on the Kids Menu. During November, kids ate free on a specific night and this was a great bonus.

If you want noodles and you want them to be good, fairly cheap and fast, this is the place to go. Noodles & Company offers a broad range of noodle dishes that are freshly prepared. It’s like fast food but way better than most fast food joints. I recently was really busy at work and wanted to order something ahead of time to pick up so I could get back to the office quickly. I ordered online and it was ready within 10 minutes for pickup. Super easy! I got the Indonesian Peanut Sauté with Chicken. I wasn’t a fan of the chicken as it almost seemed like fake meat, but the pasta was very good. I’ve also had the Pad Thai and Butter Noodles in the past, both of which I liked. I’m not a big fan of chains or fast food, but if you need a quick place for a hearty and freshly made meal, this is a great place to check out!

Pad Thai… They forgot the tamarind sauce! Pad Thai with shrimp was tasteless and very dry. Pot stickers were stuck together and appeared to be pressed on a grill. I won’t be returning.

I had passed the restaurant several times and wasn’t quite sure what it was. So I did what any responsible diner would do… checked Unilocal for info. Reviews were sort of a mixed bag, but at least now I knew what Noodles was all about. So last night a friend & I tried it. I guess you could say I’m still in the middle of the road! First impressions of the place were good. Bright & cheerful, easy to read menu board, plenty of choices. So after a short stop at the menu board, we made our way to the counter to order. The young man that took our order was friendly, attentive, courteous & generally very helpful. We placed our order and looked for a seat. We surveyed 3 or 4 tables, all of which needed a good wiping down to remove the food from the previous diners. Finally found a semi clean table. It wasn’t too long before our food was brought to us. I ordered the large Penne Rosa & my friend got the large Pesto Cavatappi. We tasted each other dishes and each had a good flavor, and there was plenty there. But both were seriously lacking moisture. Both dishes were very dry and needed more sauce. And both were luke warm at best. As a frequent pasta eater, I don’t know about other people, but there’s nothing worse than a really dry pasta dish. If there is a certain amount of sauce that is supposed to be used per dish, someone needs to readjust the amount. Other than that, I’d say, Noodles & Company is OK for a pasta restaurant, but I don’t know that it would be my first choice again.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I had a coupon for buy one get one free noodles, salad or sandwich. I had the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese and my husband had the Japanese pan noodles. We also ordered some garlic cheese bread with drinks. The food was very delicious. The place was very clean. The set up reminded me of Jason’s Deli but without the complimentary ice cream. The price was a little more than what I was hoping for but overall it was nice. I’d come back and try it again but with the price, I’m not sure if it will be a regular go place for me. But that’s just me. I would recommend it to anyone though.

I can’t give Noodles & Co any less than 4 stars, because as chain restaurants go, it’s simply one of the more unique, high quality fast casual restaurants around. And I don’t consider myself a noodle guy, I like noodles, but I generally don’t go out of my way to have them regularly. But I could eat N&Co’s Bangkok Curry Noodles with pulled pork pretty damn often. And the Japanese Udon noodles with steak are pretty yummy, too. And don’t get my boys started about their Mac & cheese. We could be here for days. There’s very little bad I can say about this location or the one out at the Paddock(still think the Summit’s a better name.) My one peeve is that damn touchscreen Coke machine, they’re an efficiency nightmare, and I have yet to have a fountain soda from one that didn’t have the lingering flavor of whatever it was the guy in front of me just had. However, the luxury of having Sriracha hot sauce on hand as a condiment nearly makes up for that slight. Minus one star for the Coke machine.

I was so excited when Noodles and Company finally made its way to Louisville last year with its two east end locations(with each one conveniently located by my house and work: SCORE!). I had experienced the restaurant in other cities and was always eager to dine there for one thing and one thing only: macaroni and cheese. If you’re a lover of this comforting cheesy dish, you will love how they do it at N&C. It’s creamy and rich and the cheese is a Wisconsin cheddar. So yum. All of the dishes are made to order and can be adapted in any way you prefer. They do not use microwaves, freezers etc. so you’re getting quality ingredients prepared the right way. I was fortunate enough to go to a Unilocal Elite event where we got to taste practically every dish on the menu. Marcus, the manager, was awesome and shared with us not only the food, but the ideas and concepts behind the food. Since then, I have happily switched it up from my beloved mac & cheese and branched out to the other dishes because they are all so great. I especially recommend the stroganoff and the Japanese pan noodles. Inexpensive, quick, a sound company philosophy, and a professional staff make this place a no brainer for a casual lunch or dinner.

Two friends and I met here last week. We were super excited to try some different carb-loaded items for lunch and weren’t disappointed! The atmosphere reminds me of Chipotle or Qdoba. You order at a counter and tell them what you want in your pasta. Most dishes start off vegetarian, which I love! But instead of making it right there in front of you, they bring it out to the table. That was the only downside. We were on a lunch break and my friends felt like the table service was too slow. We waited at least 10 minutes for our food, so it wasn’t really fast. The food, however, was great! I got the side of garlic cheesy bread and the small mac and cheese. The small was enough to fill me up because the larger portion would have been way too much! The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy(as it should be)! Both of my friends got the Pad Thai, one added shrimp and one added chicken. They both had the large portion and couldn’t finish all of it. The prices were very reasonable and they had some really delicious looking desserts. I will definitely get a sweet treat on my next visit!

After my most recent review of «Noodle & Co.», I was contacted by upper level management with their regrets to my disappointing experience. Words exchanged, ideas discussed and in the end Marcus S. Has invited Chef Jack and a group of his ‘elite’ Unilocal friends to attend a private tasting at ‘Noodles & Co.’ To show gratitude to customers as well as to prove the mistake of my last visit was an unfortunate error that is not common practice. More to come: «I can’t wait to share the results of the upcoming ‘Tasting’. This business apparently values its customer’s reviews and sees the importance of great customer service. Which puts them up to 3 stars from the previous 1»

I tried the cavatappi with pesto and grilled chicken and peanut noddles, also with grilled chicken. Both were cooked well, had a lot of flavor and were pretty reasonably priced. I was happy to see these are more normal portions for pasta, many places give you much more than you should eat in one sitting. Will go back to try the Mac and cheese and the fig and pig flatbread. Very quick service, being able to order online is a huge plus.

I know, I know, its a chain. Unlike many other chains, I have a soft spot for Noodles & Company. My first visit was in Denver in 2005, we were all voraciously hungry when we stumbled upon this pasta place. I got the Mac & Cheese that night and I was not disappointed. Since then, I have visited Noodles & Company in Cincinnati and Washington, DC. Its served as a source of comfort food and familiarity when I have been away from home. When we finally got a Noodles & Company in Louisville, I was thrilled. I knew I would be here so much. I still enjoy the Mac & Cheese, the Pesto Cavatappi, and the Pad Thai. So whatever your craving, come check it out at Noodles & Company.

My review is based on the Japanese Pan Noodles with Grilled Chicken. I ordered the regular size instead of the small size. From now on, I’ll be ordering the small size because the regular size seemed like way too much food. Just order regular size if you plan on taking leftovers home. I also ordered a side caesar salad & for a place like this, the side salad might have been one of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere is typical. Bright lights. Loud. Ordering & getting your food doesn’t take too long. Back to my dish. The noodles were tasty, but my dish is labeled as a spicy dish & it just wasn’t that spicy. The broccoli, carrots, Asian sprouts, black sesame seeds, & cilantro… all great. This dish was supposed to have shiitake mushrooms in it! It only had 2 in the entire dish which is fine considering I like my mushrooms in small doses. If you order this dish with the intention of eating a lot of mushrooms, you might want to tell them extra mushrooms & extra spice. Overall, I was satisfied. I’ll definitely go back and try the same dish with other meats as well as other non-Asian dishes. For the price of 2 regular sized plates, sides, water, & tea, it was in the 21 dollar neighborhood. For that price, I’m not sure if it’s worth putting on my favorites list. Switching to the small sized plates next time should help bring the cost down a bit. Not that 21 dollars is a lot, but this place seems more like a 13 – 18 dollar place for 2. My only other peeve is what I mentioned above with it being loud. This might change once it warms up & the crowd is spread out on the inside/outside. I couldn’t believe how loud it was. My lady and I had to repeat ourselves a few times. We were sitting right beside each other! Again, this isn’t something that the restaurant can control, but the crowd noise seemed like it was bouncing off of everything.

I’ve been here several times since it opened(as well as take out). I really enjoy this concept. Everything I’ve tried has been great, though I haven’t ventured far from my «usual.» I’ve gotten the Japanese Pan Noodles with steak every time. They are absolutely delicious. I’ve tried the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, which is also very good. The garlic bread appetizer is good too. I like that they have different condiments available for guests, such as sriracha and soy sauce. The restaurant is clean, the employees are friendly, and I didn’t think the prices were too out of the ordinary. Overall, this is a great new fast casual restaurant for the area. It’s definitely an added staple to my lunch or weeknight dinner choices.

Not worth the price paying extra for tofu in a dish that should be made with it is ridiculous! Portion small won’t be back ever! Now for the taste hands down the WORST Pad Thai I’ve have ever been served the people of Thailand should force it’s removal from this places menu. I love noodles but if starving I would not want this again!

Just opened recently and was very impressed with location, presentation, staff and selection. There is outside seating available. Decided to try pork curry dish and it was excellent. Nice touch is there are small portion and large portion options. My Daughter had chicken noodle soup and she loved it. We also tried the Indonesian noodles w/tofu and it had nice flavor with a touch of heat. Entrees were not overly salted and seasoned to perfection. Family of three can easily dine for less than $ 25 and leave completely satisfied. We will be back soon to try the pad tai.

This place was awesome :) We heard about it at our apartment complex and had to try it out. You can order ahead of time online if you want, or there are two huge menus for you to look over when you get in. The hubs and I ordered beef stroganoff and shrimp pad Thai. What’s really nice is you can choose what type of meat(if any) you want in your dish. We also ordered drinks and they gave us actual glasses which I thought was a nice touch. They have one of those giant coke machines where you can pretty much get any kind of soda flavor you want. You get a number and can pick your table. Over by the drinks they have different«toppings» — sriracha, soy sauce, s&p — and to go boxes. We got our food in pretty good time and it was delicious! The hubs got into his beef stroganoff before I could even take a picture. It was creamy and the meat had a good flavor and I could totally eat this on a really cold day. I got the shrimp pad Thai which had a lot of flavor and toppings — cilantro, carrots, eggs, and a lime. Delicious! It had different textures and I loved that I could add as much or as little of the lime and soy sauce and I wanted. They even brought me out chop sticks. The staff was super friendly and the owner came out and introduced himself and took the hubs plate. We’re totally coming back to try some more of this menu!

It was very busy when I went, just a few days after its opening. There was a long line to order and it was hard to get a table, but luckily the manager or owner helped find us one. There are a lot of different types of pasta to choose from, such as Italian, Asian and American(mac and cheese), but my Pasta Fresca was just okay. The cheesy garlic bread, however, was great. I’d recommend coming here at a non-peak time, because the restaurant is not very big and waits can get long. I’d try this again but get a different pasta dish next time.

Today was a training for the staff to cook and serve under pressure. It all went smooth. One of the managers invited my fire company to a free lunch to participate in the fun. Staff was friendly and the food was out within minutes! I got the Japanese Pan Noodles with steak, co-workers got the Japanese Pan Noodles with shrimp, the Penne Rosa and the Indonesian Peanut Sauté. We also split an order of pot stickers, which were really good. Along with their Snickerdoodle cookie and a Rice Krispy treat, which I believe is homemade. We all enjoyed our dishes and I recommend for you to go try the place out.
