Meijer is close to my home and unlike other grocery chains they offer wide aisles. I love Kentucky but y’all have problems with the idea that you’re not each the last person on earth and there is no one else walking about the world. Meijer is wide enough for people to linger in the aisles, spread out like they’re the only person alive but still have enough room for me to get my cart and ample caboose through. I have never lived anywhere where blocking an aisle recreationally was socially acceptable or safe. Meijer also has a wonderful produce section, an acceptable level of international grocery items, and a good butcher department. The deli the department leaves a bit to be desired for me because I’m used to more selection but I can make a special trip to Lotsa Pasta for that end of things. I could always ask for more in a grocery store but Meijer provides most of what I am looking for and the staff is generally helpful.

Generally a clean store that is well stocked with a friendly staff. It doesn’t seem like a manager is on duty on a regular basis so the service and orderliness of the shelves can be hit or miss. Prices are good, better than Kroger, but I have noticed they have started jacking up the price some and then running what amounts to an almost permanent sale that looks too good to be true. This is especially prominent in the liquor store. My biggest complaint is the quality of the produce. It is over watered and deteriorates faster, so it never looks as good as it should. I have noticed bug problems around some of the produce as well.
