Fast and food don’t go together here. 20 minutes in the drive thru and just getting to the speaker to order. This will be one order that will be left standing. I’m out!

As I contiplated life while sitting in the parking lot they call a drive through, I reached spiritual enlightenment after the fourth hour and assented to nirvana. One on think that after sitting for so long that the food would be glorious. You would be wrong. The food is often dry and unpealing even to my intoxicated friends. I wish I could give a review lower than one star. I don’t know why I keep coming back, because I rarely have a few hours to give on any given day. That being said, highly unrecommend. You are better off, eating your own shoe. I hate you, I hate you.

Yeah, I’m reviewing a McDonald’s. Weirdo. Oh well. This is one of the busiest McDonald’s in Louisville, based on my experience.(The other is at 2nd and Broadway.) I believe creates much of the reason why this location drives me slightly batty. The service is generally poor; sometimes you’ll have someone friendly, but overall… wrong orders and the sort are quite the norm. For example, on my last visit, I ordered an iced coffee. What did they hand me when I pulled up to the second window? A hot coffee. Okay… In general, the food is just like any other McDonald’s.(Obviously…) So that’s to be expected. The facility was remodeled in September 2013, so that’s a positive. It did introduce drive thru two lines as newer McDonald’s have. I will give this McDonald’s a little thumbs up for the location. It’s just off(basically on) UofL’s campus, and it’s directly off I-65, so it is convenient for many people. Unfortunately, you generally don’t run away with glowing experiences here.

The drive through is more like a parking lot and the service is completely rude. The food comes out cold and crusty. If you want to waste 40 minutes of your life, by all means go pay this terrible«restaurant» a visit.

I work third shift. So, sometimes, when I want a greasy cheese burger at 3:30 in the morning, I go here. However, the third shift staff is neither polite nor dare I say sober. I’ve worked for McDonald’s in the past. I’ve worked a 12 hour shift from 3pm-3am, but never did my smile to a customer falter. These people do not care about customer service. They give no kind of greeting at the drive thru menu, the windows, or the front counter. They truly do not want to be there and it is painfully obvious. I really try to remember back to my days of working a horrible job that paid close to nothing. But I had a job. And I worked hard at it. I was offered management six months after I began. It is not hard to move up within the company if you apply yourself, but these people do the opposite of applying themselves. The day shift seems to have their stuff together better, but basing my rating off of third shift too? Well, the place needs a new store manager or something, because someone isn’t doing their job and it isn’t just the crew.

Very gross with a side of nasty. Breakfast was deplorable! I wondered why the drive thru was empty. Now I know.

Yes, it’s a McDonald’s. So, the food tastes like McDonald’s. But sometimes you just really need some french fries. This location is right of UofL’s campus so it is always packed. Always. But they are fast and accurate — which is more than can be said for other downtown locations(cough Second Street cough cough). So, if you are having some sort of french fries emergency or in desperate need of a Shamrock Shake, this would be my recommendation.

I frequent this McDonald’s more than I care to admit. They usually do a great job in the drive thru of moving people right along. The parking lot is often crowded with a lot of traffic in and out, but service is usually quick. The inside is now open 24 hours which is great for UoL students! Coffee/smoothie drinks take a little longer through the drive through and I’ve been asked to pull up to the line more than once. Love the school spirit within the store — all black and red everything! Lots of Cardinals memorbilia! Not a bad choice if you’re visiting campus and want something cheap & fast.
